My buddy has worked at the Radisson for the past 12 years. He and the entire food and beverage division of the hotel were laid off within the hour of the offical announcement.
I told him it was in the name of progress..... he was considered "collateral damage" and i would buy him his beer at the pre-game tailgating events this year
After he told me to F-off he did tell me a few interesting tidbits he heard
1. The hotel was coming down....sooner than most think
2. The property is going to be part of a new gateway athletic center....... whatever that is??????
3. And that Big News is coming
Who knows how much of this is true????? but I do think big things are a coming...

I for one hope it is Thanksgiving weekend. It could give me my first opportunity to get back to Fouts for a home game in several years.

I agree the WAC as is, is not a good place for us. CUSA is the best option with the other Texas schools.
However, having the other western Belt schools + LA tech and our only real rival New Mex St would be better than staying in the Belt as the farthest western school.
And if Boise St jumped ship to go to the MWC.....The WAC could add Texas St or ULM to the EAST division

With a 8 game conference schedule, we would only end up traveling to hawaii once every 4 years!

Dodge did not start Riley at QB at SLC until his junior season. Chase Daniel was the starting QB Riley's freshman year and Greg McElroy handled the job when Riley was a sophomore. Todd Dodge will play the best player. Considering all factors, it makes sense that Riley would redshirt this season. In 2009, we could be looking at a two-headed quarterback like Florida used with Chris Leak and Tim Tebow. That seemed to work out well.
great point....Dodge will play whoever is best. He wants to win MORE than anyone on this board!
But while we are at it, I heard Lewis Fields and Wayne Walker were coming back.

i am too afraid to count the chickens before they are hatched. I will however, have a big grin on my face if all 26 players sign tomorrow.

Who do you project one of them replacing? I think only Venegas graduated and will be the only open spot on the OL. I know that Dodge puts all positions up for competition, but am curious as I see Menard, Bailey, Drake and Santiago starting next year leaving only one position available.
All positions should be open on a 2-10 team.

What a great start to Dodge's first true recruiting effort......and a heck of a lot better than the stealth recruiting of our past leader.

I dont mind the spending the cash...however can they please at least throw us a bone and give us a concrete plan for the new stadium.
Show us the plan, tell us how much the university has and how much they need!!! I think if people see a light at the end of the tunnel the extra cash wont hurt so much

What is it with you people taking pot shots at players? So, you know JT personally and can speak with absolutely authority? And you wonder why the players, their parents and some other fans want nothing to do with this board or people on this board.

Not surprised...I sat next to his father during a couple of games...the vibe i got was not a good one...
he basically said his son was not happy with a member of the coaching staff...i probed a little deeper and he said the O-line coach was not a positive man and he left it at that.
I personal like a coach who will get in your face and tell you how it is, apparently Peachey did not. Good Luck

NT should raise coaches salaries, build a fantastic stadium, and cut out the money games. Now, we have given the administration all these great free ideas, all they have left to do is figure out how to fund them.
get the Eagles and Meatloaf to put on a benefit concert for the Mean Green...$50 tickets...or i guess we could invest $ on tickets and win the Megamillions jackpot
