  1. I always take these future schedules with a grain of salt......too many times these never pan out due to buyouts and better opportunities for the big whigs........but they do look interesting......

my only question is why the UGA, Tennessee, LSU, Bama, Gator's of the world when we have plenty of powerhouse's right in our own back yard.........Oklahoma. OSU, TU and A&M "I think" would make a bigger impact of future recruits and fans if we could somehow steal one....dont get me wrong..a win in Bama would be huge...but a win over OU or Tu would be Bigger!!!!

either way...I am up for my annual road trip game....BRING ON THE SEASON!

PS>>>>i know it takes two to tango....just wish we could play more regional powerhouses

  2. Why is anyone surprised??? Many of us knew he wanted out before last season even started.

U.S.S. Dodge is taking on water.

In the 20 years of supporting NTSU / UNT as a student and alumni........we may be getting close to rock bottom......

Those Scott Davis led teams of the late 80's and Maher teams of the mid 90's would eat this teams lunch!!!!!

RV better pray that Dodge rights the ship and gets us a 6-6 record...or the stadium and the program may be headed back into the depths the Southland Conference.....which is where we may need to be*

    *can of worms opened

  3. I personally would love it.......SA is a great weekend road trip.....i go to the alamo bowl ever year and have a blast. San Marcos aint bad for a day or two...

CUSA would be option 1 of course....with the WAC a close 2nd in my book (no thread needed) , but if we have to be stuck in theSun Belt lets be stuck with a few in state rival teams...

If we are still in the Belt in 10 years.....gasp......i hope it is with Tx St and UTSA......

  4. L.) Bullets ahoy!

M.) What happens when we get to Z?

N.) I felt you downplayed him and I feel like we should treasure each and every bright spot like a beautiful diamond. Can we kiss and make up?

O.) my original post was suppose to be sarcasitic towards Big Dawgs overreaction to everyone being "special"

P.) he reminded me of KRAM jr....no offense Kram..

Q.) I guess we stop when we get to Z?

R.) or do we hold hands and pull a "Thelma and Louise"

  5. E.) Wear a helmet when you post - it protects from falling sarcasm

F.) You can hate Todd Dodge all you want, but you're really going to start downplaying Fitz before they've even printed his diploma? Awesome.

    G.) Sarcasm dually noted

H.) I am a Dodge supporter...as stated give him 4 years to prove himself

I.) Fitz was a good player on crappy teams

J.) I never even ripped on Fitz

K.) Isn't this thread about Rodge?

  6. Wait, if we haven't had a special player since 2004-2005, that means...

a.) All those games of NCAA football the last three years were a lie. I SAW playmaker stars!

b.) Johnny Quinn lived off the hype for two years

c.) Casey Fitzgerald was a hard-working Irishman who brought a lunch pail every day

d.) Using retroactive logic, Brian Waters wasted his UNT career by not changing the outcome of more games and should be no more celebrated than Robbie Vanderslice.

A.) live in the real world

    B.) CFL'er

    C.) system stats?????

D.) played TE and DE....and was NOT a special ALL-PRO G while he was here

  7. I am not prone to personal attacks (not true), but this post is one of the dumbest things I have read on this board. And that is saying something.

    CASEY FITZGERALD.

    How soon we forget...

I will stick with my definition of "Special"

good player but did not CHANGE the outcome of many games...

    * removed politically incorrect statement about 97&03 profile pic before i was put on probation

    1) If Gilmore plays, he is a special player at DE..

    2) Atkinsin signs, and can be a special player at DT...

    4) Secondary - Darrien Williams is special...

    OFFENSE

    5) Riley...could be something special,

  9. What if he passes for 4000 yards and 40 touchdowns but the defense regresses, leading to another 1-2 win season but with a fixed offense.

Would you still want to fire Dodge and risk losing Riley or stay the course?

I think you give Dodge four years...unless we dont win a single game

  10. He is the most higly touted recruit in the 20 years i have been associated with the NTSU-UNT program.

State Champ-5A player of the year.-etc.....

I think the venom is coming from some who have felt let down by Papa Dodge......

I cant wait to see what this kid can do next year!!

Look at it like this. Say you buy your son a new car. Two months later he wrecks it and out of love for the kiddo you pay to get it fixed. Two months later he wrecks it again. Bad luck, right? Pay to get it fixed again.

Well, this happens a few more times. You finally have to make the decision that he is either gonna have to fix it himself or quit wrecking the damn thing.
