  1. He's young. Lots of upside to this kid, but it'll be rocky until he gets more games under his belt.
  2. Coker is 1-4. Spin it however you want. Rice is 2-3. Bailiff needs to do something or get off the pot and get someone in there that can win some FOOTBALL GAMEZ!!1!
  3. Taylor McHargue, Eric Soza, Derek Thompson. All QB's. All seniors. All graduated. 4 Sophs starting on your DL/LB corps. Production of WR's is unacceptable. Much of that has to do with the mess at QB that was CORRECTLY sorted out during the first 3 games, IMO. Let's see what happens in the next few weeks.
  4. Isn't it concerning that Rice is 2-3 after winning the title last year? What is Bailiff doing down there? That's his team. Why is UTSA 1-4? How much time does Larry Coker need? This is year 4 of the Coker era. It's his team now.
  5. Dajon has a lot of potential. He has to start making throws, and get some help from his receivers. Harris played his guts out last week. Somebody else has to step up with him.
  6. Well, many said as much months ago, but what you're seeing is typical after a thrashing and 2-3 start. Carry on.
  7. Let's keep in mind the attrition this defense has had in the last 10 months. Also give some credit to an Indiana team that kicked some ass up front. Skladany and company will get the best out of these guys, but this year will be a crap shoot due to size and inexperience.
  8. Poor tackling right there.
  9. Williams is going to be good. He's made some mistakes but has made some good throws. Some poor passes but receivers need to help him out. Pretty much what I expected today so far. Zone read is a positive development. Special teams need to self scout. No excuse for the onside kick. Defense is playing hard but have been a bit overmatched up front.
  10. Yeah, and look at the rest of their home schedule, and tell me it's comparable to who UNT plays at home. Look, I'm not complaining about scheduling an FBS every now and then. But try to make sure it's not because we're out of options for better opponents.
  11. Yes, it's different. Unless something has changed recently, FCS schools get about 64 schollies. FBS gets 85. Big difference in talent level and even the amount of talent the schools can recruit. Big difference.
  12. Prefer to have FBS teams. Why? Because playing FCS devalues the season ticket. I really only want to see FCS if the rest of the home slate is pretty interesting.
  13. ...because they suck.
  14. Drive to train station. Board shuttle. Easy ride, and drops you off at Fouts. Fun and free.
  15. Indiana is absolutely going to load up to stop the run. Dajon's--and the receiving corps--big test will be getting 4-5 yards on quick passes, and THAT'S what the test will be, IMO. That is--can the receivers get open, can Dajon be protected long enough, and can he get them the ball. If he/they can't, it's going to be a long day. The thing I will be looking for is if the receivers are getting any separation. This is not all on Dajon or Chico. Receivers have to step up this week and help a young QB out by running correct routes and fighting for the ball, because IU defense is going to force UNT to throw. I expect DW to see some blitzing pretty regularly.
  16. My wife works at NCTC. Lots of folks badly shaken by this. The quote that the school is "close-knif" is very very accurate. It's cliche, but they are very much a family. My wife left a few minutes ago for a prayer vigil at the Gainesville campus with some co-workers. Please keep those girls and families in your thoughts.
  17. Yeah, I think USM may have a little something for Rice. Still picked Rice.
  18. Welcome fellow Texan!!
  19. So, this crap has been going on for years, and yet, state auditors could not find discrepancies during this entire time?? It took an anonymous phone call?
  20. Loved his voice. Didn't know he was ill. RIP.
  21. Attendance figure is legit. Students turned out well again.
