The lowest-attended 2013 game--Ball State on 9/14--was a real head scratcher for me. I looked forward to that game more than any other on the schedule that year except Rice, and IMO, it was the most exciting game played at Apogee that year. I have seldom seen so many big hits from the UNT defense, and I mean EVER. They physically whipped Ball State, and I just wish that there had been more people there to see it. I believe the heat really put a damper on attendance. It sure made the Cardinals finally quit.

I've said it before and I'll say it again--whoever is at QB will look 100% improved with more pass-catching weapons this year. Here's hoping the new and older guys step it up and join Harris at the grownup table.

From their perspective, it's probably important because people they owed their existence to died fighting in a war that they may or may not have agreed with. I had 2 ancestors serve. One came home. One didn't. I didn't agree with the cause they fought for, but I wasn't there, and don't know what they were thinking at the time. I'm glad somebody remembered them and their service, though.

I would say that with that many QB's to choose from, people shouldn't get hooked on Matt Davis.

Should be an interesting comparison of QBs and offensive progress in Dallas.

​Harris was good enough to go over 800 yards for the year. I guess the other receivers had all the poorly thrown passes their way. I'm saying there needs to be more than 1 serious receiving threat in order for the passing game to go. UNT had this in 2014. They did not have it last year, IMO.

​Those stats are intertwined with performance of the receivers and the OL last year. QB needs HUGE IMPROVEMENT--no doubt. I'm just saying that there needs to be more from WR as well, and that's where UNT could have a secret weapon in the new kids.

Personally, I think the biggest thing that needs to emerge is another legitimate receiving threat besides Harris. UNT needs more from the position than they got last year, and that's not a knock on Harris. There was just a huge dropoff from Harris to the next receivers. UNT went from #66 in passing offense to #109. That can't totally be laid at the feet of the QB.
