If this team would play as hard as they bang their gums together on the internets, they would be 5-0.

Wasn't Mr. Smatresk on the sideline Saturday? -

Jesus CHRIST. -
Only ones on the list I'm comfortable with are Fritz and to a lesser degree, Campbell.

Question, and would love to know the answer.
LongJim replied to meanrob's topic in Mean Green Football
There were several plays where there was no LB or safety in the middle at all. The QB saw this every time and either pulled the ball down and ran right up the middle, or handed it off and the RB gobbled yards. No life on the sidelines. Nothing. They quit, plain and simple. It was obvious. Frankly, it was infuriating. -
OK first list was too young -- how about these?
LongJim replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Really need a guy who has done it before. Out of these, Cristobal makes the most sense IMO. Norvell is interesting, though. -
This team is not 66-0 bad. Which speaks to something I'm not even going to write on this message board.

I do too.

Yeah, I think that's a great story. Love to see the young guys making an impact.
-
I don't advocate it at all, but I think that with the right personnel, it would beat most teams in CUSA, simply because they don't see it much.
-
Yeah, I'm not bagging on the alumni. More that I thought the student side really showed well by comparison. This bodes well for the furture, I think. Boomer was there but definitely issues getting it going Saturday.

You can't give up 3rd and 8's and 3rd and 20's. They result in extra possessions and tire out the defense. You can't fumble a punt in your red zone. Your defense has forced a three and out, and now they have to go back on the field.QB played well enough to get his team the win.Offense started out throwing to set up the run and it worked. The offense had no problem moving the football against Rice for most of the game.Defensive line is well-coached but need more pressure from 4 to help a shaky secondary.Rice's TE's are loads. Where the hell was Boomer?Student section turned out. Alumni side had opportunities. There was definite improvement from week 1 to week 2.Poppy's popcorn FTW.

I agree. If the MOB take aim at you it is more of a compliment than anything. Also, they were all clapping in appreciation of the Green Brigade. Thay are jesters, and part of the fun.
-
MOB is gonna MOB. They are fun and usually worth a chuckle or groan. It looked like they spelled out DUD when referring to Patterson. I think their routine yesterday was probably modified from the one they trotted out at DKR the week before, though.

He played pretty damn well. Perfectly? No. But very well.

Damarcus Smith is warming up on the sidelines

What a load of BS... -
Was hoping this would blow over. Both teams will have an adventure on offense if it continues.
-
He's right. Rice kicked UT's ass at the LOS all night. The RB is a beast. Bruising, trampling beast. UNT will have their hands full.
-
Great job!
