It is. UNT should consistently win it's division and CUSA. And to do that, you have to beat teams you are supposed to beat, and win your damn division. SMU does nothing to help that. Nobody outside of the Dallas area gives a crap about SMU. I long for the day when it's more important to win championships at UNT than it is to beat TCU's historical rival.

It would, but "they're not a rival", dontcha know? UNT should beat UTSA every time. Every game, in every sport.

I think the great thing about America is that we can ignore or show displeasure for stuff we don't like, and support stuff we do like, without being killed or demonized for doing it. Wait...

Well, how about we give it a try? What can it hurt?

1. Stay in one conference. 2. Play in-state and regional schools that UNT can compete with regularly. 3. Win consistently. 4. Continue engaging the freshmen classes during enrollment. 5. Go forth and multiply. It's a building process that takes consistency in all of the above areas, and MANY 4 year cycles to build alumni engagement to the level desired.

Well, I don't care what's official and what isn't. I only know that I want UNT to beat UTSA every time, all the time. They came in Apogee in 2013 and stole UNT's lunch money, and laughed in their faces while they did it. To me, that and they fact that they are a start-up is enough to want to beat them every time. No reason UNT should lose to them in anything, ever.
