    The "UNT, established 1890" is one of the better branding efforts, IMO. It speaks to tradition and legitimacy. Public perception. It says: "We've always been here. Where have you been?"

    This was a great scene, no doubt. After the Apogee opening day Houston game, it was obvious that UNTs stadium could be one of the loudest in the nation with a big crowd and an exciting game.

    My thoughts are that you're on the right track, although we probably differ in opinion about methods to address these issues, and to what degree culture and belief system have played a role in ownership of each specific situation.

    See, I have never gotten that vibe from Vito. I think he's actually a very good beat writer. He's not paid to be a cheerleader. TBH, I think he often goes easy on the program in some cases.

    Why not just man up and say, "Tech deserved to win that game because they were beat up and only lost by 1." Tech lost because they couldn't make enough plays to win the game. UNT won because they made enough plays to win the game.
