  1. Totally agree with you. Mental defectives shouldn't have guns.
  2. So perhaps this situation could have been avoided if... https://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/fbi-statement-on-the-shooting-in-parkland-florida
  3. Hahahah...ok. TCU "nearly packs" AC regularly. That's awesome. They've been ranked for the last umpteen years and play in the Big 12, and had 1 sellout in 2017, despite being ranked, and in a town--and single county--of almost 2 million people. They've been ranked almost every year for the last decade and yet they still "nearly pack" their brand new, even smaller stadium. They should be SRO at their home games. Again though--that's awesome. Kudos to TCU.
  4. Here's a link to a clip from the FW Cavalry's first home game:
  5. While I lived in Florida, AFL was very big in Tampa and Orlando. They regularly sold out their games and had local TV deals, and a pretty good product. I liked it enough that I was an inaugural-and-only season-ticket holder for the Fort Worth Cavalry when they played at TCCC in 1994 after I moved back to Texas. Had a lot of fun at those games.
  6. There's nothing to debate. Its revisionist history. The facts are what they are. We'll agree to disagree. http://sportsblogs.star-telegram.com/mac-engel/2014/08/how-tcus-players-see-the-attendance-issue.html https://www.google.com/amp/amp.star-telegram.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/the-big-mac-blog/article118889263.html
  7. Maybe he was just thoroughly checking himself for injuries?
  8. There's a time and a place.
  9. TCU was at least a top 15 team each one of those years. If 70% capacity is your idea of good attendance for a consistent top 15 team in a town with over a million people, then I guess I stand corrected. I think it's worse than UNT, to be honest. Are you a closet TCU fan with clouded objectivity? Or just a friend to the straw man argument? Or can you just disagree with me like a big boy and go on with your bad self?
  10. I encourage you to check the home game attendance for TCU before they joined the B12. Their crowds were disappointing for a school in the middle of a town the size of FW. Saying their attendance was good is revisionist history, IMO.
  11. Interesting. Wouldn't it have made more sense to place a mutilated half-consumed carcass, or skeleton in there?
  12. SEC, baby. SEC...
  13. I believe I agreed with you--twice! Stix asked where those stores were before they moved to the mall and mentioned one had moved to University Drive "by then". Just pointing out that they all (IIRC) had moved to University and didn't simply move directly from the square to the mall, in case there was any confusion. No worries!
  14. Sears (and I believe Bealls also) was located on University at the end of the strip close to the Movie Tavern before moving to the mall. Might have been on the square before that. Penney was located at the other end of the University strip in the building now housing Kroger. Again, might have been on the square before that, but my recollection is from the early 70's.
  15. We went down to take a look yesterday. Mini Mall is a total loss. Not sure how that will be rebuilt. La Di Da lost all of their inventory. Hopefully their building was not structurally damaged too badly to rebuild.
  16. The reality is that SMU and Houston suck. And will in perpetuity.
  17. Sad to hear this.
  18. Also, these announcers must have been hired as recruiters for FAU.
  19. FAU is very fast and very physical. They are also intimidating the Zips. Akron has no answer.
  20. You make your luck. Otherwise you get beat.
  21. Is Bourbon still torn up? It was a disaster with construction this summer.
  22. This team would not have gone 1-11. This team has much better receivers, QB, and offensive scheme.
  23. You extend him for another year. Recruits want stability. He delivered and played for a championship in his second year. That is progress and worthy of reward. Also shows commitment to current staff.
  24. That's the truth.
