  1. Best of luck, Carson!
  2. I'm asking the boss. Great cause!
  3. Well, you have to do this while making sure that the OLineman (or possibly 2) does not get his hands locked onto you, get under your pads and knock you off the ball, or toss you onto the turf. While you're making sure this isn't happening, you have to determine within about 1 second--by looking over or around a 300 lb guy trying to tear your head off--where the ball is, and where it's going, and get to that point or perhaps run a stunt that the D coach has put in for you to run. If you don't do it, or do it incorrectly, you have possibly opened a hole for a back to run through for big yardage. If the OLineman on you does his job well, then the same result can occur. So yeah, it's a little more than that.
  4. Man, you're up too early! I don't think they throw my Startlegram until 5 or so!
  5. Frankly, I'm excited about the potential of this class. To me, it's obvious that UNT's addressing bulk up front and speed at skill positions. It does appear however, that the OL, DL and QB will again be the "wait and see" positions next year. I'm encouraged, for sure.
  6. THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!! WELCOME TO THE MEAN GREEN NATION, and here's to seeing you guys pancaking DL's and destroying SMU running backs next fall!!
  7. "...bystanders rushed to hospital after being overcome by fumes..."
  8. This was all over Orangebloods after the RB. On the website is a link to "trojanwire.com", with "Official" Three-Pete merchandise. In the comments section the following is posted: "so how did it end up? is there a sale?" Posted by: ramonce taylor at January 21, 2006 11:46 AM
  9. Yep, good prices and friendly service over there, PMG. Good value at the bowling alley, too. But as for Weatherford, my favorite place to go over there is the Malt Shoppe. My dad introduced me to that place, where he was grabbing grub in the '50's. We often stop and grab a burger there on the way out to Mineral Wells or Abilene.
  10. Hey, you can always visit the Cowtown over here in River Oaks! Grab a steak at the River Oaks Steak House, and jog back down Jacksboro Hwy to 820.
  11. I definitely would. I think Davis handled himself pretty well. Lots of nutjobs out there.
  12. What a boor. Hmm. Just guessing, but perhaps because it's the first national championship in football for any Texas-based D1 university in 35 years? Maybe because lots of impressionable teen-agers and klingons who like to "belong" jumped on the bandwagon. What's news about this phenomenon, Ritchie? C'mon Richie, you were a Cure-baby back in the '80's--admit it! See: Business 101, Richie. Hammer. Nail. Boo-freakin' hoo, scrooge. (Note to Richie: I was excited and proud when the Spurs and Rockets won NBA titles, too, but I'm not sure if I felt it in my soul, or anything.) Hammer. Nail. $$ Yawn. The Hammer is smarter than this. He knows full well what influences are at work, but he's not going to say anything, because he works in that arena. I hope Richie will write the same column when UNT wins a BCS bowl. I also hope that the DMN, DRC, and FWST have front page coverage. I will expect it. What a pissy little b*tch.
  13. Is that sort of like the "Iron Chef"?
  14. Heh! Well, Ruby's on the square has a real good lunch buffet. Keep feeding him, and we'll see him catching passes and smashing linebackers next fall! Again, welcome!
  15. Welcome!! Hope he's reading this thread. Glad to have him in GREEN!
  16. 2-stars according to Rivals: Curry, Drake, Neal, Robertson, Carlson (LOI), and the Coffeyville Gang (LOI's) Seidle is listed as running a 4.51?? SICK!! KEEP "EM COMING!!
  17. Ok, color me a sunshine pumper, but I'm starting to get excited about this class. KEEP IT UP, and WELCOME TO THOSE COMMITS!!! SEE YOU AT FOUTS NEXT FALL!!
  18. Then the players on the field playing the game better work hard this off-season, get stronger, work on their mental discipline, and be prepared to execute their game plan to the best of their ability.
  19. It is officially licensed. A lot of schools have different fees depending on what is used on merchandise.
  20. 2/1/06 for football. High schoolers can sign until April 1.
  21. I love that helmet logo, and I agree that the lettering is cool. Kind of a NY Jets type thing going. Looks great.
  22. Former UNT HC Jerry Moore Honored, along with Joe Pa
  23. Been checking Rivals pretty regularly, and not much happening there at the moment.
