  1. Right. Only coaching staff and BOR can be addressed in that manner.
  2. Cletus: I think most UNT fans EXPECT to challenge for the SBC title every year. I know I do. Last year was a step back, no doubt, and it's disappointing when the level of success OOC hasn't improved. I fully EXPECT UNT to be challenging for the SBC title this year, and I EXPECT UNT to win/be competitive in OOC. I also expect the MG to kick your collective Arkansas ass this year. The only "stepping down" UNT is going to do is on your hillbilly throats.
  3. A - Fleur de Lis B - 1 C - 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 D - 4 E - 3 F - 2 G - Male H - (35-43) I - 4
  4. Below is chatter from Orangebloods that I thought might be of interest. The comparison is between a UT true freshman noseguard, and Kennedy. ******************************* Ben Alexander is a fireplug that can squat over 600 POUNDS.. At 5’10 he will root like a hog and be a friggen’ nightmare to move. No, college football has not seen anything like little Ben in the modern era, even Russell Maryland was 2 to 3 ‘ taller. Hook’em -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Actually Booger Kennedy from North Texas 4 years ago would probably be a very similar comparison. 5'9" fireplug with BAD intentions. Hell, I think he sacked Simms at least three times that first game of 2002 (might be off). If he can be as destructive as Booger, then we are very very happy.
  5. That board is probably the the most nitwit-infested UT board on the internet. It's worth it to pay the subscription not to have to post there.
  6. It's funny. That was one of those "where were you then" moments. I was listening to that game on the radio while on business in Houston. The Ramada I was staying at had the little clock radio deal, and I was supposed to be at some dinner or something with a friend, but I couldn't tear myself away from that broadcast. Glad I didn't.
  7. 9/24/83--@ DKR against Texas At Fouts: 1996 Vandy game.
  8. Both are AWESOME additions to the schedule. Rice needs to be home and home as often as possible, IMO. Akron is a quality program, and should be a good draw at Fouts.
  9. Hey, Ho, Let's Go! [attachmentid=194]
  10. Man. Hilarious! Reeks of bush-league, though.
  11. I'll take "bubonic", with my order, please! (Just kidding...)
  12. Watched about 1/2 of it. Thought that Finley looked great. He will definitely have big shoes to fill at TE. Very vanilla stuff, offense wise. Worried about UT's secondary, although they will be ok, I'm sure. For sure. This may be a big mark in UNT's favor. UNT will definitely need to come out and hit UT in the mouth, and bring it all game long. If they do, and can keep it up for 4 quarters, anything can happen. Big opportunity for the MG, because UT will be depending on the defense to win this game for them. No reason for UNT to play it safe. Bring it all, bet the farm, and let it roll.
  13. I was beginning to think it was going to be the sign that Hell had frozen over.
  14. Brad Sham Doesn't matter what sport he calls, he's great. Craig Way Walking book of football knowledge. Tim Ryan One of my favorites. Mark Holtz Ralph Strangis/Darry Reaugh Great announcers, and really nice guys. Brad Nessler Jub-Jub Excellent play-by-play guy. Keith Jackson--used to be great, now a shell of his former self. Still has a wonderful delivery sometimes. Horrible job in the last two Rose Bowls.
  15. I thought the term used was "idiot"?
  16. Unbelievable... "Hiesman" trophy winner's hometown!
  17. Anyone but LSU or UCLA. Go GM!
  18. Sec. 502.409. WRONG, FICTITIOUS, ALTERED, OR OBSCURED [uNCLEAN] LICENSE PLATE. (a) A person commits an offense if the person attaches to or displays on a motor vehicle a number plate or registration insignia that: (7) has a coating, covering, or protective material that: (A) distorts angular visibility or detectability; or (B alters or obscures the letters or numbers on the plate, the color of the plate, or another original design feature of the plate. In talking to my brother, who's a cop, he mentioned that as long as the word "Texas", and the license letter/# combination are not obscured in any way, most police will leave you alone. He specifically said that he felt they probably would have better things to do.

  20. We're making some calls now. Fuggedaboudit.
  21. Grandstand seats are still $6. Parking's $10. Not too bad. The wife and I went alone to one game last year and were out $16. We got a free ticket w/Star-Telegram Press Pass. You can also bring a cooler if it's soft and no bigger than 12"x12"x6". We brought in more food and drink than we could eat, and only spent another $20 bucks on ballpark-specific items. Anyway, FWIW. Also, the FW Cats put on a pretty good show, and the kids love it. Tuesday's are 1/2 price, so you can get in for as little as $2. Parking is $3 I think.
  22. Why yes. Yes it is.
  23. Very true. This board is no different than any big 1A school's board. In fact, it's LESS vicious, if that's possible, due to it's smaller size, and relatively lower # of nutjobs. But, like the others, it's still populated mostly by people who don't really know what they're talking about--but think they do. (includes self in that list)
