    A strong kicker is part of the equation. Don't downplay a kicker's importance just to reflect other problems. Solve them without a good kicker and you are still running in neutral. Yes, it takes 11 to play on the FG team but a kicker is one of those players.

    I doubt if folks are pretending things are going to get better. However, there's nothing wrong with hoping for better things in the future without continually dwelling on past negatives.

    Protecting others doesn't give a cop a free pass on message boards. That's his job, this is a college message board......big difference. A lot of folks are unhappy but it doesn't really do any good to keep rehashing it over and over and over. Time to let the past be the past and look forward hopefully to a brighter future.

    OT with all due respect, it's doubtful that this board really has an iota of the influence that some think it does.

    Yes, I'm fully aware and am sure that you can give me at least 1,000,000,000,000 reasons why UNT sucks...........thanks ! On another note. Five of ten Texas FBS schools played FCS teams. Baylor, Houston, SMU, TCU and Texas Tech. Contrary to the opinion of gmg arm chair experts, we'd probably get a W with a FCS opponent.

    If you win it counts toward bowl eligibility. That's why a good many (beleive it was over 50 in '09)FBS teams play FCS teams.
