Should that happen, the pressure would still be to add an eastern school. But if CUSA looks west, North Texas becomes the most attractive candidate. With the periphery of the Dallas market and a brand new football stadium on the way, the Mean Green would certainly be on CUSA's radar.

Exerpt from a Vito Blog post. It's interesting that UNT continues to load up on junior college players for its defense. One always got the impression that Gary DeLoach wasn't overly thrilled with what he had to work with. UNT has gone back to what worked back when it had a good team, and that was pulling guys like Aaron Weathers and Michael Pruitt out of the Kansas JCs. Smart move, if you ask me.

Canales probably had a "hit list" of potentials in his pocket that he's pull out and is now working on.

I Like this comment by Canales in a DRC article. I knew of Todd and knew that would be an easy fit, Canales said. We have similar philosophies. I had other opportunities, but this felt like this would be the best for me and my family.
