Based on available info,how would you rate the new Mean Green coaching staff that Coach Mac has put together ? Personally I am more excited than I have been in years about the future of our team. Looks like the purse strings have finally been loosened for assistants, because this is a quality group !

What is the budget and what will we be paying our assistant coaches ? Curious. A Cajun poster claims that they will have the highest paid assistant coaches in the Belt with the OC and DC each making $150,000.

Did anyone else notice this ? He also served as academic coordinator for each of those schools football programs.

Per Football Scoop UL-Lafayette: Mark Hudsepth will receive a 5-year contract worth $360,000 per year.

Some folks just luv to beleive they are arm chair experts. We hired McCarney to make these decisions.

On occasion, the baby gets thrown out with the bath water. McCarney was hired to right the ship. It's only natural that he wants a crew that he is comfortable with and has confidence in. His call and I'm OK with any selection he makes.

Apparently WKU wanted to keep him. Exerpt from a post on the Belt board. Bjork said that Bowen was paid $104,000 by WKU last season – and that he had been in talks with the now former defensive coordinator to stay on for next season at a salary of roughly $120,000. Bjork said that number would have made Bowen the second-highest paid defensive coordinator in the Sun Belt Conference.
