IMHO Tulsa would become a true conference rivalry game if we make it to CUSA. If some are so anxious to play Texas State and/or UTSA, I'd rather schedule them as OC opponents than be in the same conference.

Forget Texas State and UTSA. Tulsa could and should be our real rival. I'll take a game vs Tulsa over the so-called Texas Twins. Think CUSA, not Southland !

If Tech can't accept the Belt's membership, so be it. If they want to join the conference it should be on terms set by the conference. There should be no "Monroe issue" as far as the conference is concerned in dealing with Tech.

Disagree. Beleive that Tulsa would welcome an every other year game in the metroplex because they recruit the area heavily. Playing in the metroplex is a draw for a number of teams that recruit the area.

I'm more than sure that Rawlins & co. are doing and have been doing much more than many think behind the scenes.

Wonder if the Prez is having any chit-chats with CUSA/MWC folks while they are in the area ?

Tulsa - Recruits the metroplex heavily & would welcome a game every other year. Could easily develop into a TRUE conference rivalary. UTEP - Large metroplex fan base & recruiting ? One of their perks in CUSA has been TEXAS opponents. Rice - Another Texas team. Could we have some CUSA folks in our corner ? just a thought.
