  1. I have to go along also and say thanks to Leonard Hopkins on a great season and career. Best wishes in whatever you come upon next!
  2. Congrats Track Team! Go Mean Green!
  3. I don't know the answer to some of your questions, but I have to say that the swim team has improved so much this season compared to the rest. Records were broken left and right and those girls did a great job this season. If you pick up The Daily, you'll see how much they talk about their improvement this year. On reason that they are slowly progressing is because of the coaching changes. The head coach has now been there for 3 seasons, but they had a great assistant coach, who did alot for the team last year who is now at U of Denver. I hope this helps!
  4. Sorry I didn't post earlier, but here is some good news regarding our women's swim team @ SBC Champs. They got 5th in both the 200 Medley Relay and the 800 Freestyle relay and got swimmers into all the event finals. North Texas is in 5th with 211 points, not far behind New Mexico State U! Here is the link to the results and recap: Day 2 Results Friday Feb 18 Go Mean Green
  5. Here is the link to where the results will be posted for the SBC Swimming and Diving Champs, which started today! SBC Swimming and Diving Championships Results! The women have done well so far placing 5th in the 200 Free Relayand 400 medley relay, and have also had a few individual placings in other events. Go Mean Green Swimmers and Divers!
  6. Here are the stories from meangreensports.com on the swim team as they faced U of Houston and SMU on Friday Jan 14 and TCU January 19, 2005! Hosner Breaks School Record In Meet Against SMU And UH NT's top performers provide tuff competition for TCU The Mean Green Swim Team is now done with the regular season, but they are competing in Sun Belt Conference Champs on February 17 through 19 in Little Rock, Arkansas and deserve our well wishes!
  7. This weekend the UNT Swim Team placed 4th this weekend at the Sugar Bowl invitational this weekend. Here is the story from the UNT Athletics Page. Three stars continue to shine for NT women’s swimming and diving
  8. I don't know if ya'll know, but UNT does have a womens swim team. Up to this point in the season they have a 3rd and 4th place finish at invitationals and have loses to Texas A&M and TCU. They are a very strong team that is growing with depth each season, so they deserve some support. Thier next home meet is against SMU and Houston at the pool at the SRC on Fri January 14 at 6pm.
