SMU signed 26. There was one 4 star, a JC recruit who is a DB, and seven 3 stars. We desperately need help on the defensive side of the ball and we signed 12 defensive players. At least that is what they played in high school.

We have complained about the same thing on our board. Look at Rice compared to SMU.

I agree completely. No reason the three schools shouldn't play each other every year. I don't think TCU would agree with that right now because they are beginning to think we are beneath them. They need to remember that things change over time and what goes around comes around. UNT is down right now and so are we but both schools are starting to committ to better programs. I know a lot of fans on here don't think Dodge is the man but I thought he was a good hire and still think he can get it done. Both schools have the same problem (defense) and it takes time to find the players to remedy that.

Congratulations on the class. I was glad to see you guys finally get Atkinsin on the dotted line. I have been following the situation on here for the last week or so and to be honest thought he had changed his mind and was going to sign with W. Virginia. Looks like y'all got some help where you needed it ( defense ) and hopefully it will show on the field. Have a good year.

Good luck today in your game. SMU is off this week so there is no way we lose. You guys keep your heads up and remember the positives fromt he season. You passed the vote for the student fees and that was HUGE. Being able to tell recruits a new stadium is coming is a great selling point. I know a lot of you have given up on Dodge and I won't get into that discussion other than to say I thought at the time it was a great hire and I still think he will turn the program around. He just needs some experienced assts. and that was his major mistake in not hiring more. Hopefully you finish the season on a high note and my ponies do the same next week.

Here are the tiebreakers if there is a three way tie: First, Head to Head (all 2-1) 2nd, Record against other division teams (all one loss) 3rd is record against the 4th place team in division (all Ws) 4th is the Current BCS standings after the regular season

It is anyones guess what will happen in BB. We hope all the freshmen we played last year will have gotten better and the two PG's we brought in will improve our ball handling. They are saying they want to reverse the record from last year. It was 10-20 so the goal is a 20-10 year. We'll see.

Congratulations you guys on the win last night. I know it was a while in coming but it has to feel great. Anyone that has a child had to be happy for those kids who have worked so hard and had so much go against them. Hope y'all finish out the season with a few more. I would like to see SMU and UNT both wind the rest of their games. It is possible for both of them.

I know the pain. Believe me. I was in the Mustang Club before the Death Penalty. You guys have enjoyed a lot of success the past decade. I guess that is why it hurts you guys so much. We are almost numb to it over here, I guess. And I am not just a casual SMU fan. Flew to Lubbock for the Tech game and wife and I went to Annapolis for the Navy game. You know the results of both. I just really think Dodge can do this. But he is going to have to get some experienced D1 coaches on his staff to help him.

First let me say that I am an SMU supporter. I know many of you are not crazy about us and I can understand that. I just wanted to let you know that there are some of us over there that are pulling for you guys to get past all the problems you have been having. Believe me when I say that we can identify with that. When Todd Dodge was hired, I thought it was a great hire and still do. He is an exceptional recruiter and has shown that with some of the guys he has brought in. I think it was a mistake on his part to not bring in some coaches with a college coaching background but it was his call. I still think he will get the job done there and UNT will turn it around. I really think UNT is a sleeping giant that can have an outstanding program. Passing the stadium vote was huge. Just hope the administration doesn't mess around and have a lot of delays. Good luck in the rest of your games. You guys deserve better than your getting.
