  1. i would personally rather go see us play UNM, WYOMING, CSU, or any MWC member over the best of the SB. and atleast we would get to see some games on TV if we joined the MWC
  2. seriously is it even a question???????? of course you go to the MWC, but I however see it playing out differently. TCU decides to go will be the new schools in a revamped Big East bringing them to 10 teams. This will leave MWC with 9 teams and will offer Houston maybe Utep to regain balance. CUSA will be looking to add 1 member to replace Houston, either a Sunbelt school, or La Tech. Hopefully we will get the nod over La Tech. Also keep in mind that Temple could leave the MAC and could offer WKU or MTSU and dont forget that the WAC are desperate to add any FBS schools that miss out. If the SB gets raided possibly loosing Troy, MTSU, ULL, and WKU im not sure we shouldnt atleast consider joining TxSt and UTSA in a WAC we could easily be crowned champions regularly in a new stadium. so to me it if you look at the percentages id say... 50% we go to CUSA 25% we stay in the SB 25% we join the WAC let me know what you think ... GMG
  3. Akron(a top MAC school) would probably serve as a better comparison than SMU. They opened there new stadium this year. IMO "New MG stadium" will have the edge in the following areas... - larger capacity - better media/press boxes - nicers club seating - better seats to view the game - better design and layout - of course better location being situated between the 2 biggest Interstates in DFW
  4. might be a dumb question... why not add UTA bball to the Sunbelt? im pretty sure they dont have football but if they did, they would make a great regional rival. plus we kick there butts in basketball anyways..
  5. smu fords field is in the center of a street block.... ours will be in the center of the 2 largest highways in DFW I35E and W
  6. jamal jackson TD!!!!!!!!!!! completely redeems himself for the drop
  7. FUUMMMMBLLLEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lets point 7 on the board !!!!!!!!!!!
  8. why not use him as a wildcat qb???? i know riley dodge is supposed to be our wildcat qb but maybe switch it up with riley and dunbar. this could be very confusing to teams.
  9. no instead of puttin febuary 10, put in feb 11 and see what happens!!!!!!!!
  10. yea this guys is trying to make a big deal... if it came down to it, we could always go Indy, there are teams out there that would love to play in our new stadium, in the recruiting capital of texas... we are in no trouble, patience is a vurtue. CUSA will come calling or the SB will add La Tech or NMSU
  11. this "tobi" guy forgot 1 scenario..... La tech or NMSU joining the SB...
  12. yea MTSU is a quallity program, they could draw intrest from the MAC... i would rather play F_U and ULM than Idaho and SJSU any day of the week
  13. man this scares me... the thought of Troy or MTSU leaving would make staying in the SB no longer worth while.
  14. yea i guess i see your point, i just remember the 07 Navy game at fouts, it was a early start, pretty cold, and absolutely rockin for that game!! i love those kinds of games even tho we lost.
  15. why doesnt UNT play more games in the afternoon? like 12pm or 3pm? i think more people would show up if they could get it going on earlier in the day.
  16. wow cant believe we are actually favored to win... i think we will win, but its nice to see a lil respect from the odds makers
  17. its been a while since we have beat a team from texas not named SMU..... was it baylor back in 03???
  18. rice got owned on the D-Line, they got lucky with a fluke 60 yd td at the end of the first half. I think it will be a very close game next week.
  19. lesson learned... get the ball to dunbar
  20. Clemson-7 UNT-0 .... UNT ball playing very good on both sides of the ball!!!! if elington didnt make the 80yd run it would be and even game GO MEAN GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. minnesota cant hold clemsons jock
  22. i think indy becomes a possibillity once the stadium is finished. we could definitley find schools willing to do home and homes, but going indy means much tougher competition, more travel expense, and no bowl tie ins. i think we should wait till we have a foundation by winning atleast 2-3 SBC championships in a row, then if CUSA still doesnt want us, go indy.
  23. hell la tech are already pretty much in the "old sunbelt" !!!!!!!!!!!! pre 2003 sunbelt la tech idaho nmsu utah st. then you got sjsu and hawaii which are 2k and 7k miles away from ruston.... la tech is funny becuz they think they are sooo much better than ULL ULM UNT, but they never play us! i would love to add Latech so we could show them that they are nothing but a mid level sun belt team. la tech believes they will go CUSA or be independent, but cusa doesnt want them, and going indy would be death becuz no one wants to go play in ruston louisiana. in all honesty tho they belong in the sunbelt from a geographic stand point, but its they that need us, not us that need them. which is pretty nice to say IMO
  24. agree completely 6 wins is likely, 8 wins wont be out of the realm... but im just waiting for the 1st win...
  25. damn all of you guys are really hard on TD. give him a chance man. this is the best team hes had and the best coaches hes had. he will win 5-6 games and keep his job. this is year 4 and you know what they say about college coaches like charlie weiss, wait till the 4th year to judge them. well now is the time we will see if TD is really what we all hoped
