  1. I blame Chicago and the unions for Obama.
  2. I don't remember this DC list from 2013... The 2013 Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Lone Star 50: 50) Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M 49) Stephon Sanders, LB, SMU 48) Craig Mager, CB, Texas State 47) Germard Reed, DT, UTEP 46) Kerry Hyder, DE, Texas Tech 45) Evans Okotcha, RB, UTSA 44) Terrence Franks, RB, Texas State 43) Cody Bauer, DE, Rice 42) Trevon Stewart, DB, Houston 41) Zach Orr, LB, North Texas 40) Stephen Kurfehs, LB, UTSA 39) Jameill Showers, QB, UTEP 38) Toney Hurd Jr, S, Texas A&M 37) Jackson Jeffcoat, DE, Texas 36) Waymon James, RB, TCU 35) Devonte Fields, DE, TCU 34) David Mayo, LB, Texas State 33) Eric Ward, WR, Texas Tech 32) Ahmad Dixon, S, Baylor 31) David Piland, QB, Houston 30) Randall Joyner, LB, SMU 29) Brandon Carter, WR, TCU 28) Horace Miller, DL, UTEP 27) Johnathan Gray, RB, Texas 26) Brandin Byrd, RB, North Texas 25) Terrance Bullitt, LB/S, Texas Tech 24) Garrett Gilbert, QB, SMU 23) Eric Soza, QB, UTSA 22) Robby Wells, TE, Rice 21) Cameron Nwosu, LB, Rice 20) Duke Delancellotti, QB, Texas State 19) Freddie Warner, CB, North Texas 18) Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor 17) Cedric Ogbuhei, OT, Texas A&M 16) Marcus Mallett, LB, TCU 15) Triston Wade, S, UTSA 14) Charles Sims, RB, Houston 13) Taylor McHargue, QB, Rice 12) Michael Brewer, QB, Texas Tech 11) Eddie Lackey, LB, Baylor 10) Jordan Hicks, LB, Texas 9) Traylon Shead, RB, SMU 8) Brock Berglund, QB, North Texas 7) Derrick Mathews, LB, Houston 6) Nathan Jeffrey, RB, UTEP 5) Steven Jenkins, LB, Texas A&M 4) Casey Pachall, QB, TCU 3) Lache Seastrunk, RB, Baylor 2) David Ash, QB, Texas 1) Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M 8) Brock Berglund, QB, North Texas With all due respect to Derek Thompson, the Mean Green’s quarterback last season, his 2012 season wasn’t one for the record books. 57.5% completion percentage (83rd in the nation), as many interceptions (14) as touchdowns, a good-not-great 7.1 yards per attempt. It was an unspectacular – even average – season. So why isn’t he on this list? Because North Texas’ best chance to take a big step forward offensively is if Brock Berglund becomes the starting quarterback. Berglund was a big-time prospect, one of the top-rated dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation coming out of Colorado in 2011. But he ran into some trouble academically and ended up playing at Scottsdale (Ariz.) Community College. He’s qualified now and transferring to North Texas, and bringing his considerable skill with him. And while there are a number of spots for improvement for the Mean Green, quarterback could be the biggest one. A step forward under center could do wonders for the team; but if Berglund doesn’t win the starting job, it could be more of the solid-not-spectacular work of Thompson.
  3. Yeah, let's start taxing them too!
  4. Yep, that's why we should never start the slippery-slope of stipends.
  5. Yea, let them unionize. Then mark them as professionals and immediately disqualify 'em all.
  6. Wow, didn't know there were any left at all.
  7. Always love to see your pics and hope to get another in the spring. Campus looks like the Mean BROWN right now!
  8. A loss to this year's Michigan team would have mostly been bad, except to the few that think Michigan is always good. They ended as the #57 team that lost to the #52 team in their bowl game. I think we would have beaten Michigan this year.
  9. 2013 pre-season for comparison
  10. Yeah, too many directions in UNT USF West.
  11. D'oh, I don't know what I was thinking when I put that! I was expecting to get some -1's for a controversial opinion, but should have gotten them for being an idiot!!!
  12. I'm happy for the respect and the pub, but I'm just not sure we deserve to be this high. Over half of our wins (5 out of 9) were against teams that almost account for half of the bottom 10 (many bottom 5): 124. FIU 122. USM 120. Idaho 119. UTEP 114. LaTech We certainly took care of business in these games and we had a couple of good wins to go with the bowl victory, but I'll feel a lot better when we have this kind of season against a stronger schedule. No matter what, it feels really great to not be in that bottom 25 list! Can't wait for next season to start!!! Oh, and I really would have liked to have seen #57 (Michigan) in HoD.
  13. I think they're still too busy trying to get the bowl tickets mailed out. Of course UTSA didn't have to bother with that, so I guess they've had some free time.
  14. No, it's at 11 Central according to the link. Edit - Oh, I see it says that in the article.
  15. Yeah, I caught it! A reasonably long segment too.
  16. So we can't even put green lights on it??
  17. Oh, that's great!!! GMG!!!
  18. Yeah, top 60 was my hope with dreams of top 50 when it looked like we might make the championship game. Love it! Now make it the new standard and shoot for top 25. (My heart might not be able to take that!!!) Thank you 2013 MEAN GREEN!!!
  19. BUMP Looks like this was a good hire. I realize BC was a special bonus in our ST return game, but we also blocked kicks and had a good kicking game as well.
  20. Whoever it is, I bet they are happy about the returning all but LaChris Anyiam on a very good OL. I want to see these guys take on an identity next year that says they can line up and get 3 yards anytime they need it (while continuing to allow so few sacks).
  21. Check out Scap-eppy 2.0.1 at around 3:50 coming up the aisle!!
