    Well the other side of that coin is that we could have run up the middle for nothing like we've done many times before. I'm okay with SL being a little bit creative to keep the running game going. Similarly, it looks like they're trying to set something up with some of the plays that we've run earlier (maybe a reverse or something).

    I've got a feeling every player on their team that was here last year is thinking about that loss last year and they intend to do something about it. Hopefully it clouds their judgement and affects their execution, but I'm afraid that's what happened in the first game this year and now they're ready to focus.

    Plenty of this is our fault but this poor excuse for journalism is also the result of exchanging quality standards (both in education and in the workplace) for DEI check boxes and other progressive accomplishments, such as the "everyone gets a trophy" concept.

    The number is roughly the same as the number of super models that I would have slept with if they were willing to sleep with anybody. It's also just about as meaningful of a question since the same can bowl analysis can be applied to every team in the country.

    He may not deserve "Player of the Game"/MVP, but his play on that last punt (both in handling the ball and getting off a good punt) may have saved the game.

    Also, we need to add more "vote" options!!!! The current list still doesn't quite span the entire width of the screen! I propose images of any of the following be used as : MFine: worth +5 pts for an amazing post (only 1 allowed in a specific time frame) Broken video board: worth -N pts (where N is the number of years we go w/o getting a working video display) Yellow shirt: +1 pt for a post that "stands out" against the other posts in the thread (Bennett reference) SL (mumbles): -1 pt for a post that adds nothing to the conversation except general mumbling (e.g. the one I'm writing now) Upside down Peruna: -5 for any "douchery" post (or in cases where more than 5 hookers suddenly die) Turbines: Hot air??? Model A: Old man take???

    I understand the reason for the request but it's not gonna' happen. I see similar things on other forums (especially news/political ones) in which people simply don't "like" what is being posted. It's not that they disagree with it, but simply don't like it. Someone could post a reminder that tonight the clocks are supposed to changed for DST and it would get a down vote because someone hates the time change concept. It seems like some people just don't understand the purpose of the down vote.

    Yeah, losing players has been his biggest hit (along with QB). He seems to get a lot out of FR/SO but he needs to keep them for 2 more years. It's a little surprising since the players seem to like SL and want to play for him (at least I've not heard much bad talk from those that have left.)

    I've already put myself into "duck" mindset and will be there to watch us finish this off with a win and celebrate them heading to the CC game.

    Winning the conference championship over a ranked opponent keeps his job. Doing that will have him: winning conf champ along with winning against a ranked team twice and beating an SEC school during his tenure.. I think the last two items are something that previously only happened back in the 70s and are pretty much the only major accomplishments mentioned on this board for the program's entire history. Does it excuse his overall ~.500 record? No. But perspective needs to be maintained. The ONLY exception to this is if WB already has a home-run hire completed, but in that case, nothing would save his job.

    UNT hired Todd Dodge on Dodge on December 12, 2006. Alabama hired Nick Saban on January 4, 2007. Why didn't we just hire Saban instead???
