  1. Not to blame the OP, but why has it taken the Alumni Association nearly 2 years to post a notice of this on the site with the largest collection of MG FB fans? My apologies if it was posted on here back in 2021 and I missed it.
  2. Wow. That's only gonna' get worse after these losses.
  3. I'll wear it as a badge of honor to be blocked by this "receipt holder".
  4. It's not a "special presentation", so wouldn't have a personalized inscription. I don't know about watches, but the jackets do have a nametag sewn into the pocket (at least those from the 80s do), but that's easily done by the vendor. Of course, same could be done for a watch nowadays for minimal expense, but not sure if that would be the case in the 60s. Otherwise, I'll open the bidding at $1 but would be willing to go higher, mostly because of the Flying Worm.
  5. Been investing in this program for decades and the reverse-splits have taken me down to about 1 share now. Can't remember the last time we got a dividend.
  6. Thanks coach, but shouldn't you be spending your time gameplanning for South Carolina?
  7. Tell her it's to keep our defensive line from getting in the way of the LB's so they can make the tackles. I mentioned in the game thread that we could give up 60+ points in almost every game, certainly once we hit October.
  8. It's funny that for decades, we said if we could just get updated facilities, money, and admin support, we'd be unstoppable. We finally got all of these things and yet we're being embarrassed by programs that 10 years ago either didn't exist or were 1-AA.
  9. A critical part to all of this is whether the coaches think they have the personnel on the team RIGHT NOW that they expect to be playing the 3-3-5 for the next few years. If you think you have the future players on the roster, then there is some benefit to going ahead with the new system. You may take a few more losses than staying with the system that fits your current players, but you gain the year of teaching them the new system and give them experience in executing it. However, if you DON'T have the players that you need (size, etc.) then I don't see any benefit in continuing with the round peg/square hole mentality. About the only people gaining from this are the coaches. Is the DC so inexperienced that he needs burn a couple of years learning how to coach the 3-3-5? If so, that's already a disaster. It would be interesting to hear from the HC as to whether he thinks he has the personnel on his team right now or not. If not, why isn't he going to option 2, why didn't he address it in the off season, and what does he plan to do next off season?
  10. Yeah, great summary!
  11. Look on the bright side. We shouldn't expect a ticket price increase for the 2024 season. Also, no long concession lines or parking problems for the rest of 2023.
  12. Do these thigh pads make my butt look big?
  13. I agree with getting rid of the black jerseys, but don't forget this started MUCH LONGER ago with the band wearing black uniforms. I think I remember them doing this all the way back into the 80s when I jokingly called them the "Black Brigade".
  14. We don't need him to recruit since we've got the "Receipt Bringer" handling that.
  15. Our Athletic Department (or Administration) needs to respond to that CUSA post. NOT directly to the post but a response TO THE FANS to explain what is going to be done to correct this embarrassment.
  16. Ding,ding, ding....We have a winner.
  17. Dodge Ball but in black uniforms
  18. Our defense whole team appears to be trying to conserve energy as well.
  19. Don't they know you're supposed to run a 4th and 1 in the shotgun formation!?!!?
  20. The biggest unknown now is how many games will we give up 60+ pts.
  21. I wondered if they were going to call that helmet removal on the QB.
  22. Maclin to the portal in 3..2..1
