  1. ONLY if they work properly. When I got to the game, the S/W gate (Gate1) line was the longest I've ever seen for a game with maybe one other exception. The lady in charge of security was trying her best to keep things going smoothly but the line kept getting stopped. Surprisingly, it wasn't the additional security measures but instead was the number of people having trouble getting their electronic tickets read. In fact the lady kept having to stop the security processing because those that had cleared kept getting packed under the awning, waiting for the tickets to get read. She was not liking the fact that too many people were crowded in that area and I applaud her proactive effort because you do not want that area to get overcrowded since that presents opportunities for problems.
  2. They did miss showing a lot of replays but a couple of them involved injuries and I can understand those. But that was just a few. The others should have been shown. Also, maybe our up tempo offense has impacted the decisions to even try to do replays on a regular basis but again, that shouldn't be a factor when there's a stoppage.
  3. I only tried a few times but it was reasonably responsive compared to previous years. It was most embarrassing when our stadium was sponsored by a company that provide networking services for college campuses. Obviously, they had nothing to do with the existing cell service provided by the networks, but they should have been able to stand up a local system to expand Wi-Fi service at the stadium but then, that costs money too. Seems like it should have been negotiated into part of the naming contract.
  4. If their defense has any kind of speed at getting to the passer, we may be in big trouble.

  6. You should be able to send it to the AD with a note written on it to request it be forwarded on to him. They should be able to gather them up and deliver them. Of course that requires having a department filled with competent people. I hope that is the case, but history shows that it is not a guarantee. It's a good idea and I encourage you to follow through. I'm trying to motivate myself to follow through on this as well. Something about this injury hit me harder than a lot of other (even worse) ones I've seen. I've got personal reasons that I think may be at play here.
  7. I didn't get a chance to go into the apparel store last night, but I sure hope these are available for purchase. I'd even like a version with a small logo in the corner.
  8. I'm not surprised at most of the concerns you mentioned to the soft tissue but wasn't aware of it possibly affecting the healing of the bone. Otherwise, I was hoping that a broken leg might be a better than having a torn up knee. One positive that might help is that he got proper care really quickly as opposed to someone that fell off a cliff, etc. Definitely more things to be concerned about as we pull for him to have a successful recovery.
  9. Sadly, the history of our moments when we were at that "springboard to taking off" moment have been captured in video form:
  10. I always seemed to get the feeling that the Talons were more of a "social group" than a rallying organization.
  11. I hope when they tear that page out of the playbook it has that corner end zone fade play on the other side of the page.
  12. Agree, but I will say that they seemed to act pretty quickly on that horrible "roughing the passer" call, otherwise known as a perfect tackle. I think one of the officials (ref?) must have quickly taken over and said, "no, this was a good tackle...done".
  13. Such a horrible screeching halt to a young man's wonderful night. The guy goes from having a great game, including an awesome kick return, only to have it likely end his season in an instant. I'm still confused by where the ball was placed after the injury stoppage. It was about 20 yards back up the field from where he was hurt. Was he ruled out of bounds earlier? If so, why wasn't this a late hit? Did he simply get accidentally fallen on? (I haven't seen a replay of the return and mostly missed how the injury happened in real time.)
  14. I noticed one of the posts mentioned that the players have all been heading to the locker room at the end of the game, not staying for the playing of the Alma Mater. Some of that is on the coach, but it also shows more of the impact of NIL/Transfer changes that are removing any remaining resemblance to the history of the game. Eventually, the top few are gonna' finish turning this into a complete semi-pro league. Let's hurry up and get there, with them completely splitting away before the game is ruined for the other 80% of the schools.
  15. Great for them! It's a shame we couldn't find some place in our system to support a first-class Greenie that had one of the most infectiously positive attitudes of any player we've ever had.
  16. I'd feel sorry for them but since FSU is part of the group of P4 universities that has destroyed collegiate athletics, I hope the music is loud and constant, playing such great songs as: The Macarena and MmmmBop, intermixed with ads for Oh,oh,oh,Ozempic and Call J G Wentworth (you already know the number!)
  17. Any details on where the construction will be occurring? I can't tell anything regarding what is going on right now from the provided link. I drive in from Dallas and enter from the South by taking Willowood and turning North onto BB at the Track Complex. Is the construction in this area or further South? Matt mentioned that BB is closed in that area. So is access to the Blue parking lot off of BB not going to be accessible? I can't find any information regarding parking on the UNT Athletics site. Not even the traditional information that used to be sent out in the packet of how fans should drive to the game from either N or S.
  18. Here's the current graphic from the Ticket Sales site and I don't know how accurate it is or if any useful info can be inferred from it. My first thought was that most of the West side was in the first "singles" color, but on second look, it seems to be more like the second blue. I also assume most of the gray area is "general admission"/student which isn't even listed in the legend at the bottom.
  19. Another vid of CJ bringing the thunder
  20. I was also told that NIL was established to compensate athletes for the use of their NAME, IMAGE, and LIKENESS. But somehow lots of players are getting big $$$'s without having any of these attributes being marketed. I highly doubt the majority of OL's with 2k followers on social media are being featured in advertisements or have a demand in the 1000's for shirts with their name on it. It reeks of the money laundering activities that are done through the sale of trivial paintings, etc. for huge $'s. It's essentially become equivalent of the "jobs" that were given to athletes back in the 80s, e.g. making $100k as a car salesman during the summer break. Of course, we all knew this was going to happen.

  22. Nah, it's the poor drainage, i.e. using sidewalks for the sewage infrastructure.
