  1. Nah, it's the poor drainage, i.e. using sidewalks for the sewage infrastructure.
  2. Exactly. The NFL has conditioned the fans to be okay with 11-5ish records. Back when I cared about the NFL, I think I recall the Cowboys getting into the playoffs with an 8-8 record and fans were happy.
  3. I'm not much of a hat guy so my opinion doesn't carry much weight but... While I'm happy to see MG merch at any store, these seem pretty lame to me. The white one looks like some kind of free hat you'd get back in 1977. The middle one isn't too bad, but it doesn't really suggest UNT/Mean Green to me. The left one: Hey, we found an MG patch, let's put it on a black hat.
  4. Not getting the split with UAB may prove to be significant in the standings. Really sucks to have lost that first one after we had it under control until the last few minutes when we ran out of gas.
  5. It's almost like they're members of Congress.
  6. I only casually glanced at the photo and hadn't read the end of Matt's post, so didn't even realize this was an actual in-game shot, just thought it was a pre-game picture of the arena. I'm sure it was a mid-day/weekday game, but still that's a HORRIBLE showing, especially since they claim to be the team for a city of 1.3M people less than 30 minutes away.
  7. Yeah, too many times whenever we get to the cusp of breaking through, we've not only failed, but done it horribly.
  8. There's been a lot of great clips on Xwitter but just now saw this one for the first time. Allen gonna' start selling "pony rides" for $100 NIL money.
  9. I think he's also the son of Roger Emrich who had a pretty good career as well. https://www.newhopefh.com/obituaries/roger-emrich
  10. 40 years of UNT fan history had me fully expecting it to go in. - big game - national TV - sMUT
  11. I could still feel my heart pounding several minutes after the end. Luckily I had just watched that ESPN Bayer heart ad, so I grabbed an aspirin and dialed 9...1... just in case. Never had to hit the other 1!
  12. WOW! So happy for these guys and glad they're having fun and enjoying some national recognition!
  13. Yeah, got into trouble in 2017, which is a long time ago for someone his age. https://www.pennlive.com/highschoolsports/2023/12/former-penn-state-commit-isheem-youngs-long-winding-college-football-road-takes-another-turn.html
  14. And a poorly written article. After reading all of it, I don't know how many players they actually have. Based on the statement "Under Big 12 rules, a school unable to field a team will forfeit the contest if no extraordinary circumstances exist", it sounds like they have less than 5 players, but I highly doubt that is the case.
  15. Looks like Aaron Scott heard all this talk about our new QBs and said hold my beer.
  16. Curious as to why this would get an "eye roll" response??!?
  17. Here's the Fox Sports summary info regarding CM's career (info, highlights, and links to other articles regarding his play, etc.): https://www.foxsports.com/college-football/chandler-morris-player And video of one of his knee injuries which seems to have happened while he was spinning and twisting to avoid a tackle and got hit at a bad position. https://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/34512521
  18. If SFA had one, it'd be a LOGGER!
  19. You do know we had a running back with that name (in 1987) In fact he scored our only TD in the playoff loss to NLU.
  20. 2022 (FRESHMAN): Redshirted in his first season at Arkansas. HIGH SCHOOL: Kicked at Arlington Lamar HS where he made nine of 11 field goals with a long of 48 yards… Named Special Teams Player of the Year for District 8-6A in Texas … Rated a six-star prospect by Chris Sailer Kicking and the No. 12 kicker in the nation … Played in 2022 All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas … Posted a video on Twitter of himself making a 73-yard field goal during practice.
  21. So, at one time this would have been a stupid question, but given that most of the rules seem to have been dropped or if you're a P3, simply ignored, it's not so much anymore. Since NIL is close to making some students the equivalent of paid employees, why do they even need to be enrolled to practice during Spring? In fact, I bet it won't be long before some P3 school tries to bring in a player for Spring practice as an "internship".
