I'm not much of a hat guy so my opinion doesn't carry much weight but... While I'm happy to see MG merch at any store, these seem pretty lame to me. The white one looks like some kind of free hat you'd get back in 1977. The middle one isn't too bad, but it doesn't really suggest UNT/Mean Green to me. The left one: Hey, we found an MG patch, let's put it on a black hat.

So, at one time this would have been a stupid question, but given that most of the rules seem to have been dropped or if you're a P3, simply ignored, it's not so much anymore. Since NIL is close to making some students the equivalent of paid employees, why do they even need to be enrolled to practice during Spring? In fact, I bet it won't be long before some P3 school tries to bring in a player for Spring practice as an "internship".
