That is exactly my question. I expect the offense to take a while to gel, but a good defense will keep us in games. I've seen Texas' and OU's. Both are pretty cool. Texas has "The running of the horns". OU uses a shockwave video effect showing clips of famous plays and players. They use the theme of "We are Oklahoma". Oddly enough I don't remember the music bed for either school's open. What I would like to see is a fancy open on the video screen with an explosion at the end and the team runs onto the field through a cloud of white smoke ala U. of Miami (although everybody does that now.) I'm a big Rush fan. Maybe "Tom Sawyer". Or go really old school and use Sinatra. Since our expectations are so high for Dodge ball How about, "High Hopes"? "Cause we've got high hopes. I'm not sure if this is sarcasm or not. If a tv station is going to use it's satellite truck, they need to be WAY outside their broadcast area. Denton is close enough for a live truck to hit a microwave receive site, of which WFAA probably has about 20 throughout the Metroplex. If I missed your sarcasm, sorry. I'm dragging ass this morning.

I first logged on to "Harry's Mean Green Report" in '98 (I think, it may have been '99). Since that time I have: moved from Oklahoma back to Texas (thank GOD!), quit smoking, run a marathon, got married, had a daughter, made some friends on line, made some foes on line, went from hating DD to loving DD back to hating DD, adopted 2 dogs and a cat, stumbled down Bourbon street, bought a house sold a house and bought another, bleached my hippie hair, cut all my hippie hair off...and SO much more! Wow, since I've started posting here my life has changed dramatically. And I owe it all to GOMEANGR... wait a minute! I have so much to say and yet so few actually want to read it. I used to catch that Waco station back in '99. I live in Austin and for some reason a Waco station broadcast our games. I could just reach the signal. It is no longer part of the Mean Green radio network. Last year I was traveling south out of Dallas on 35E during the 5 overtime game. When I got in my car after work the 4th quarter had just begun. I thought, "I could go to Denton and catch the last 2 minutes. Naaah, I'll just listen to the end of the game on my way out of town." I caught 88.1 almost to Hillsboro. As I topped a hill, the signal increased (FM signal is line of sight), when I hit a valley, I would lose the game completely. At the second overtime I hit what was probably the last hill before the signal faded completely (around Hillsboro). I pulled over on the side of the access road and listened for 10 minutes before finishing the trip to Austin. If I had stayed for thhe entire game I would have run out of gas just idling on the side of the road. So in short answer (too late) If you are atop a hill with good reception, you might get 88.1 I don't know about 1310. I actually picked up "The Word" 100.7 while camping in Louisiana. SMU's web site says their games are on 104.1 FM as well as 1310. You might try that if all else fails. No web access where you are? Brilliant!!!!!! When David Dellucci was a Texas Ranger I believe he had the stadium crew play the Godfather theme when he was announced to bat.
