but not really. My high school, Longview, is playing in the 4A state championship against Lake Travis Saturday at 2 in Waco at Floyd Casey stadium. The title of my post says the Mean Green are playing for a championship, and it's kind of true. When I was roaming those halls the defense was referred to as the "Mean Green D" (probably stolen from NT). The band was the "Mean Green Marching Machine" of which I was a proud member. I don't think either squad uses that moniker anymore. School colors are the nice dark green, but not quite forest green, the way I like it. I even get to wear my old dark Mean Green football jersey! Longview reaches this game by way of a 41-30 victory over Denton Guyer. Lake Travis looks TOUGH !!!!!!!!! I'm meeting my two brothers early to tailgate. I've never tailgated for a high school game, and I don't know what beverages are allowed in the parking lot of a Baylor owned facility, but I guess I'll find out. If anyone wants to come cheer on the Mean Green (high school version) we'd love to have you. GIVE 'EM HELL BIG 'L'. GIVE 'EM HELL! GO MEAN GREEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know it's crazy to ask, but since I have a basketball and football jersey, I'd like a baseball jersey as well. It's my favorite sport. Since we don't field a baseball team I assume I can't go the traditional route. How could I get one tailor made? I guess I could... call a tailor. GO MEAN GREEN!!!!!!!!

Now that the season is over I just want to say, "Well, that sucked. Let's not do that again." That was one of the worst football seasons I've ever had to suffer through. If not for high school football this season would completely blow for me. Yea basketball season!

Cool. Lufkin's played some good ball over the years. Longview just beat Dallas Carter. edit. Not really cool that the school was segregated, but neat that we are from good old east texas.

If, in the last 6 years, we had invested all the money into alternative energy that we put into the war in Iraq, we might very well be energy independent. Or at least a hell of a lot closer. And we would have created something called "jobs". I hear good things about these "jobs". We should have more of them.

Not if they keep winning in the playoffs.

Let me throw out a hypothetical situation. (It's really not a hypothetical, I know someone who suffered through this). A woman gets married. The day after she gets married her husband turns into a complete controlling and abusive ass. While her definition of marriage is quite similar to yours she quickly determines she cannot continue to live in these circumstances. As defined by the state she can get divorced and move on with her life, but with of your definition of marriage she should never get remarried in a christian church. Or even moreso she will always be considered married to this guy. Is this correct?

So then how do you get a divorce if you don't get married?

Are you making the argument that divorce has nothing to do with marriage?

Stirring some more... Marriage has nothing to do with religion. Again, marriage has nothing to do with religion. If it did you'd have to go to a church to get a divorce. Marriage is contract b/w two people. Contracts are legal matters. Marriage is a legal matter, not a religious matter. Most ceremonies are religious but not exclusively. A marriage performed by a JP is just as valid as one done by a preacher.

I checked with some pretty reliable sources and they no nothing of Ebbie's condition worsening. I'm not saying it's not true, I just have my doubts.
