  1. I'm very disappointed. Rudy sets up "garden spot" and I follow with "Beavers Bend" and not one single vulgar insinuation from you. I think maybe you've lost your edge.
  2. The people in Tulsa would disagree with you. I lived in OKC for a year and a 1/2, and it blew. It was absolutely and without question the worst 1 1/2 years of my life. I visited Tulsa and was amazed at the difference in landscape. Also Beavers Bend state park is quite nice. Joke from Quoner coming in 3...2...1...
  3. I've done a few batches. Bottling sucks. I may try to find a used kegging system. The last one I did was a "Texas Red" and I wasn't happy with it. I prefer the Pale Ales. I guess that's why I drink "Fireman's Four" from Real Ale.
  4. A vast improvement. I may actually go to this website on game day now. Previously, it was one of the last places I went for up to date information. Let's hope it's as good as advertised.
  5. I love Jon Stewart b/c he's funny and relevant. People who criticize Stewart usually say he's just a left wing hack. Truth is, he goes after the left as well. If you want to say Olbermann is just a cheerleader for the left, I can't argue, but Stewart loves to point out hypocricies of the media (a pretty easy target), and politicians of both sides of the aisle (an easier target). When was the last time Beck had something critical to say of a republican? I would love to see Stewart and Beck in a one on one debate.
  6. We've had a good tailgating beer thread before. Real Ale from Blanco is the way to go. It's a Texas beer and damn good. They even have a flavor (my favorite) with a green label. Next to that I like Lawnmower Ale (out of Houston), Then I like Full Sail, out of Minnesota I believe. It's employee owned and damn tasty. GO MEAN GREEN !!!!!!!!
  7. Lesser known fact, they don't "film" at all. They record digitally. Sorry, it's an old RTVF pet peeve of mine. But you are right. My station went "high def" recently. We upconvert so much crap it's not really high def at all.

Oooh. Sorry dude. Chalk it up to lack of sleep.

Listening to the podcast with RV, he mentioned a 5K run, but I didn't hear any of the details. I briefly searched the website but came up empty. Anyone know the details? I will only be able to attend a limited number of games, but if I can make this run, it's something right up my alley. EagleD
  10. Congrats, man. We went through the c-section process last week.
  11. i.e. it's won in the trenches.
  12. http://texas.rangers.mlb.com/news/article....sp&c_id=tex
  13. That was so long ago. Scoring, that is. Here and at Fouts. I'm going to work on him pooing green money directly into Villareal's hands.
  14. Would it matter if he pooped green? I've been working on his defensive tackle name. I like the sound of, "Big Willie T with the sack!"
  15. Having issues uploading pics to GMG.com, but William Thomas Foyt was born just before Noon today. 7lbs. 9ozs. 19 3/4". Calm, but hungry. He's already got a Mean Green onesie. But he'll need more. Bibs too if this appetite continues. D-Line maybe? I'm ready for scholarship offers. GO MEAN GREEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. I know it's the wrong forum, but damn, I hate the Red Sox. #!@$#!%!%!!%!@#%@!@%!%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. In all honesty, what I like about the forum is a chance to talk openly about my opinions. It must be a pain to moderate, and I understand shutting it down. The only two real fights I've had with people were through PM's. One of them has been resolved. I've taken as good as I've gotten on the NonSports Forum. I think it keeps people honest. I've received and sent messages through PM's that NEVER would have been posted on a public forum. As a point of reference, I bet KRAM and I are as far apart on the political scale as possible. If we're at a bar I'd bet we get along pretty well, but we'd have a lively debate from time to time, much like the "Non-UntSports Forum". Let us start at each other in the back alley (or blathering behind our computers w/o a watchdog) and watch out! For the record, I'm glad KRAM and I haven't had a PM meltdown, and I can thank the aforementioned forum for that. It's kept us honest. (Sorry again, for confusing you with Flyer, Dude. My bad.) If you guys don't feel like being bouncers, who am I to judge? I didn't pay a cover charge.
  18. Hey this the football forum. Put this poll in some other place like a "Non-Sports"....ohhh. Carry on.
  19. I voted "yes". If a nominal fee is required, I'd pay it, but then politics is open for discussion. If it's not, then hey, what you do with your site is your business. To be quite honest, I don't visit the forum much during football or basketball season. Since NT hasn't had a football season in 2 years, I've been there quite a bit. IMHO, at minimum it should be open only to registered users.
  20. I wish I could attend any games, but football season is a time for big freelance money for me.
  21. We're not talking about the game. We're talkin' about practice. PRACTICE! Not the game. Not the game I love. We're talkin' 'bout practice. Man I love that rant.
  22. But he still has to have protection. I'm more concerned about the O-line (and D-Line) than skill positions.
  23. I'm certainly not going to believe anything I read in the "Washington Times".
