Jett Duncan practiced some today....and is listed as day-to-day. Landon Sides status will be a game time decision. (All info from Brett Vito at the D-RC blog)

I don't see that happening.....but it would be nice if it did. Oddly enough....our first ever sellout of then 20,000 seat Fouts was not the SMU game in '90. It was the SFA game in '89.

I also noticed the other night........on short yardage plays.....we don't even pack everyone in tight.

That's why I thought with the 3-3-5....you need to blitz on every down....because you've got to get some pressure on the QB. But it doesn't seem like we do.

I think it's great that our team honors Scout Team Players Of The Week. Had never seen this before. And I dig the name Kade Sink.

All four have minor injuries.

I don't remember him even having a bad snap. (and you saw how much players were sweating y'day....would have been really easy to have some). Dave and Hank commented on how bad (high) some of the snaps were for Lopez, the USA quarterback.

When we hired Coach (Spencer) Leftwich's son to be our O line coach......I was hoping for the best. If he was as good as his Dad.....that would be awesome. But, he was awfully young....and not very experienced. But man........what a debut. Without his best lineman (Gabe Blair)....and loses another great lineman (Jett Duncan) early in the game. We had a true freshman (Tyler Mercer) who played probably 90% of that game at center....y'day. Brett V is reporting that Landon Sides (WR) and Gabe Blair (OL) are out today. Also....three DBs (Sprueills, BJ Allen, Xavion Brice) are suspended. (I presume for that criminal trespass charge). So we're gonna have to have some "next man up" things happen today.

No we shouldn't be scared of South Alabama. But the time we beat them was back in 2012.....so it's been a while.

I just looked it up. PS money used to be $7,000 a week or so. It's gone up considerably: Rookies and second-year players will earn a minimum of $12,500 for every week they spend on a practice squad. The minimum for veterans with at least three years of experience is $16,800 per week with the maximum salary set at $21,300 per week.
