Our first game win over USA....looks better... The Jags are beating Appy State 28-0 in the second quarter.......in Boone, N.C.

They are already ranked 23rd in one of the two polls. And they're the top "Others Receiving Votes" team in the other one.

I want an AD to let a coach hire his own assistants. But.....if the HC wants to make an unproven DC, the highest paid assistant in G5, and give that guy a two year deal.....I wish the AD would at least say...."You sure about that?"

When you have so much turnover in this day and age....you have to ask...."Is playing for the love of the alma mater now a thing of the past?" How much love can guys have.....when we're their 3rd or 4th school? We're more of a motel for them for the year....than an alma mater.

He also gets there about a minute before the show starts. He does shake a few hands....of fans. But he leaves after 30 minutes....and goes to another room...eats and then leaves. With McCarney and Littrell....they both stayed until the end....and even interacted with fans....for 5-10 minutes or so...after the show. Not Eric.

If you want more ammo on Morris and on how little he gives a shit about UNT: His radio show is at Rudy's from 6-7 on Thursdays. Week 1: He wasn't at the show......took the team to the women's soccer game. The soccer game started at 7.....but I guess he couldn't do both. Weeks 2-4: He does 30 minutes of the show...then leaves. DB always gives an excuse. But he doesn't leave the premises of Rudy's....he goes to another room and chats/eats with Dept. staffers. BTW...look up his contract. He makes $300,000 for a radio/TV stipend. So the little guy doesn't give a shit....just looks at us as a stepping stone. And if we had an AD with any balls....he'd telling the f'ing football coach to be at his radio show for the full hour.

I felt bad about this game all week. And thought we would lose....but not this bad. Maybe by 14 or so. And the reason I felt bad: Every time...I mean every time...North Texas does a special effort....like next week's effort to sell out DATCU......the team drops a King Kong sized turd.

Agreed. It seems like we have lots of fans who want others to fail....more than they want UNT to succeed. Since we left the SBC....they've had lots of ranked teams. Lots of huge wins....Marshall beat Notre Dame, Appy State beat Texas A & M, ULL beat Kansas State....all games on the road for the SBC team. So far this year....the AAC has done nothing special. Tulane hosts Kansas State and can't get the win. I think we have five 2-0 teams.....and only one has an upset win (us beating USA). So I don't knock teams in other leagues....for doing what we fail to do. Hopefully that will change soon....and we (and our league) will start knocking off some name opponents. (I know Tulane beat USC in the bowl....the Year before we got in the league).

To each his own. And yes....I'd prefer that the AAC get the playoff spot. But so far....I don't think the AAC is "sponge worthy". Just curious....why would you rather see the MWC get in....over others?

I just reviewed our list of signees/transfers.....because I didn't remember Sibley being a signee. But he was....and you read his bio....very impressive. Also impressive....is how many true freshman were early enrollees and were here for spring ball.
