  1. It's still standing....but the panels are out of it. Anyway, yesterday there was a guy working on it. Now underneath the empty panels is a new smaller sign. On both sides, it now reads: HOME OF THE MEAN GREEN. Not sure if it's lit up at night or not.
  2. first three weeks of August?
  3. Thanks for your efforts in gathering those stats.
  4. Most of the teams need all the revenue they can get....so I doubt that they will shorten the regular season.
  5. Emmitt....they're doing the three training classes that I was offered---right before b-ball games. I think the dates are Dec. 8 and 13 (before women's games) and Dec. 11 (before Jax State men's game). Any volunteer gets a meal, parking pass and two game tickets. (as I recall). The training is from 5-7. Anyway, I'm doing this by memory. (so I hope the info is right). As I said earlier....I signed up for the 8th (before a women's game). You only have to do one training session.
  6. I'm doing it as well. I signed up for the training class on the 8th of December. I like Cooper Jones and his staff (Dan, Matt, and Kendra)....I think this will be fun.
  7. Talent for next year is on its' way (see below).....great 2010 season! http://www.meangreensports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=1800&ATCLID=205027980
  8. I don't think Holmen has been in....is he okay?
  9. The Vito blog that mentions Matthews: http://meangreenblog.dentonrc.com/archives/2010/11/thoughts-on-the-wac-coach-sear.html
  10. In 2006, this guy was my second favorite choice (behind Don Carthel of WTAMU). Scottie (Voy Board) was really for Matthews. He's a Texas guy...and has been very successful at 1-AA level (national title in 2004). His JMU team beat Va. Tech earlier this year. Vito's blog has him trying to get on the short list. Doubt he has much of a chance, but I think he'd be a great choice....and be a successful move up from 1-AA (like Jim Tressel, Paul Johnson, Fran): http://www.jmusports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=14400&ATCLID=795617
  11. What's their plan.....move to the other end, once a team is in The Red Zone? And, I would assume if there's a long scoring play.....that end zone would have to be used.
  12. Good points. And let me add this: You don't have to beat a Kansas to help your RPI dramatically. Give them a tough game (especially in Lawrence) and that could help us out a lot (seeding wise) if we make The Dance.
  13. Just pointing this out....because the Topsider wearin' Mofos....refuse to play us in hoops. They have a home tournament that starts tonight....and here's the other teams: Lamar UC-Riverside Portland State I'm guessing the University of Alaska-Anchorage, Maine, and Chaminade were unavailable.
  14. Can't wait to see what Murzek will do here....once he's added another recruiting class or two. Great win today, gals.
  15. Yeah, I know. I even asked him about that. I just thanked him for the games he had scheduled with us....to this point.
  16. Deleted.
  17. Interesting story from 2006....explains the process, and some of the people that Neinas has represented in the past: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/2006-12-12-focus-neinas_x.htm
  18. I liked Pat Knight....even before reading that...now even more. Talk about a tough gig....he could easily have the 6th best team in the Big XII South...and still have a great team. After the game..I went down to The Green Room for a quick beer. Roaming around down there was Gerald Myers, their current AD (and a long-time b-ball coach for that school). I thanked him for giving us a Home and Home...and told him how much we loved playing Tech. He was very nice. He told me, "you guys have a great team."

  20. A +1 for you, mi amigo.
  21. While you're on your b-ball "high": 1) Make plans to attend as many games as you can....the rest of this season. 2) AND BY ALL MEANS......MAKE YOUR HOT SPRINGS TOURNAMENT PLANS NOW. Trust me, you'll have a blast.
  22. Yes, the students were awesome. Thanks for helping make it an electric atmosphere in the Pit last night.
  23. There is beer/wine. I think to get access....you have to give at least $500 to the MGC. I know you have to be a MGC member....may be wrong on the minimum amount for admission.
  24. The Prairie House is catering tomorrow night. The last time they did a b-ball game....it was unbelievably good food. I trust that they'll do another great job.
