I hate to see Boise lose...as I had hopes of them or TCU being in the title game (even though I know the BCS powers want no part of either of them being there). The good news.....that sound you hear is WAC money drying up big time. I really doubt now that Nevada or Boise will be in a BCS game. So they've gone from $18 million (or so) in one bowl game payout....to probably at best a $1.5 million bowl payout....or something like that. (just a guess, btw)

Surprised to see that the line has gone from K State being a 17 pt. favorite, to now being a 14 pt. favorite (at least according to today's paper).

Wonder if this is correct?: Base salary at UNT will be $585,000. Total package with incentives, $950,000.

Fellas.....I sit behind our team bench. Last night, UNT90 sat with me. Anyway, at one point I leaned over and asked Alzee how he was doing. He told me that he had just had surgery. He said something about "6 weeks"....and I said "So you'll be able to play some late in the season?" And he said, "The doctor says I'm out for the year." Now the only way there's a misunderstanding....is if my 53 year old ears heard him wrong. But I believe that's what he said.

New stadium nickname: The McCarnival.

I wonder if we hire McCarney...if his overall record (at Iowa State) will be in the press release from UNT Athletics. If not....that says something.

And if you take out his 8 wins over 1-AA (FCS) teams while he was at Iowa State---his overall record is 48-85.

I hope he can handle our press onslaught.
