Thank you. I thought about that.....with online classes.....the guys can probably stay at hotels all week and get their work done. And staying there....is probably much cheaper than two different round trip charter flights.

I'm sure it's all because of TV.....but the league did us no favors. We play at USF today. And then come home.....I would presume. And then on Wednesday have to go back to Florida for a Thursday game with FAU.

The UTA game is supposed to be on ESPN+ (at 3) Elizabeth Moffitt, our catcher....had a homer, 3 hits and 6rbis in Game 2. Our team is now 10-2 on the young season.

Smart move. It's gonna be miserably cold......for those games in Arlington. Since it's a Th-Sat tournament......wonder if they might move it all back one day??

Just another example of how idiotic these leagues are now. I looked ahead at GT's schedule......in a few weeks, they have some home games with Stanford. After thinking how ridiculous it is....to go that far for softball games....I realized it's a conference series.

A 3-run 7th.....and the Mean Green defeat Georgia Tech, 6-4. Our gals are now 8-2. Next game....Tuesday night....hosting TTech at 5pm. (I doubt that game happens though....unless they play it earlier in the day?)

Holy Smokes! Elizabeth Moffitt.....just doubled in two runs....Mean Green ahead 5-4 in the top of the 7th. Still batting....two outs....runner on 2nd.

Down 4-0 early on to Georgia Tech....we've clawed back to make a 4-3 deficit. GT batting with one on, one out in the bottom of the 6th. Skylar has pitched the entire game for us....so far.

Nice 8-0 run rule win over Bradley. Annica Anderson with the 6 inning shutout. She's now 4-1. Big stick of the day....Elizabeth Moffitt with a three run homer. Also....we were active on the basepaths with 6 steals. I think the first hits of the season for Taylor Platt and Sofia Schow. (both haven't played much or at all in Schow's case) Now on to Ga Tech at 11:30

I think so. Gonna be a brutal walk to the cars.... the wind chill is supposed to be around 5, as the game ends.

SIU ties it in the second. We're now batting in the bottom half. Ever since Jamie Allred, left us as our pitching coach....and took a job at Virginia.....our pitching has been very suspect. The new pitching coach, came in from Grand Canyon U.....and has good credentials. But so far.....the results are pretty sketchy. Go Mean Green!

Up 2-1 in the second. Our two runs....seemed to have come off of errors. Mackenzie Childers (starter)....didn't even record an out.....before getting yanked. 3 BBs...and earned run did her in. Kayleigh Smith on the mound.....in relief.

Just one game today.....SIU at 9 am. Two games on Sunday....Bradley and Ga. Tech (9 and 11:30) Go Mean Green! BTW....the way the weather is looking....I kind of doubt the home opener against TTech.....happens on Tuesday night.

Gave up 4 in the fourth.....down 10-5. Walks are killing us today.....just like they did against Tenn. State

We finished undefeated at The Buzz Classic....at Georgia Tech....to open the 2023 season.

We beat Troy 7-3 in Game 2 of today. Now 3-1 on the year. A win for Skylar. Kailyn Bearpaw has 6 Rbis in four games. We play CMU again tomorrow....Go Mean Green!!!!

Early on..........but Ms. Bearpaw is looking like our best hitter. Thus far anyway. And our other TU transfer, Anneca Anderson....has all three decisions. 2-1....on the season. Nice to see Skylar mop things up...and get the save....

Hindsight is 20-20.....but it's a shame that Kayleigh Smith wasn't the first one out of the 'pen.....as she got through her inning.....unscathed. The two freshmen pitchers, Maloney and Buffington....are both highly touted. Maybe....first game jitters? Anyway.....two more games tomorrow. Go Mean Green!

Good grief. A seven run 7th (so far) for TSU and we're down 10-5. He's brought in two FR. pitchers....who haven't gotten an out yet. Still no outs....down by 5.

5-5 in the top of the 7th.......TSU has runner on second....no one out. Two games in a row....where pitchers have had two run leads going in to the 7th....and not been able to hold them. Go Mean Green!

Once again Maddie Conley and Rylie Nicholson help us get on the board. (as in game 1....when Maddie walked and Rylie doubled her home). This game....Maddie doubled, Rylie singled her home. Then Elizabeth Moffit....doubled her home. Moffit on 3rd....one out......2-2 game........bottom of the 2nd.

Down 2-0 to Tennessee State.......middle of the second. We're the home team....so we have six more innings to come back. Mackenzie Childers pitching....
