Speaking of Greeks....whatever happened to The Wings? Weren't those frat guys? They used to be a great group. Haven't seen them in several years. I wonder if we should go back to the old system of swiping ID cards? I realize that you can probably pick up a student ticket on game day. But if say there's a long line there....you might have some who would have gone in...if all they had to do was get their ID swiped, as opposed to having to stand in a line to get a ticket. Just a thought.

They said the announcement is "about this weekend's game." Wouldn't expect anything major---maybe they're showing the WS on the small scoreboard. Just a guess.

According to what I found in a web search: Men can start practicing on October 14 in 2011....and October 12 in 2012. (Used to be, that the start was always October 15---they changed that because there were too many Midnight Madness events on weekday nights.) The women's formula is that they can start practice at 5 p.m........40 days before their first regular season game. I hope this is all accurate....as we all know there can be wrong info on the internet.

Absolutely true that Tulsa is good....no one is refuting that. I didn't expect to win this game...we were 23 point 'dogs after all. But in the end, we had almost the same amount of yardage that they did. We competed with them fairly well. And I, as a fan, have the right to wonder what might have happened had Brent Osborne started the game. As he should have.

There is no reason for Lance to be in this game (at this point in the game). Who cares what the final score is, at this point. Get some other guys some experience. It's ridiculous to be risking injury to guys like Lance and Zack Orr at this point.

It's been a while. I think he was an OC for Corky Nelson....so I'd say it was some time in the 1980s. And, as I recall he was just here for one year.

Love the kids size.....and his mobility. He's the kid that had been playing b-ball and just switched to football...so as you can imagine....one area where he really needs to work: strength. But give me a kid like this, with size, his "wheels"....and let Coach Wintrich have at him....and I think he'll be a really good DE for us. Sidenote: I look up and Sean Payton is walking past me. I guess he has kids at LCS...and maybe flies in on Friday nights....before getting back to the Saints on Saturday? Anyway, he was there.

Was at Barnes and Noble....Lindy's is out. Never been a fan of Lindy's or Athlon's (for basketball or football). Anyway, they pick us 4th in the West. They do pick Tony to be Player of the Year, and list him as the best NBA prospect. Didn't buy it....will wait on The Sporting News Basketball Preview mag.

Not familiar with Wilhite....I see him on the roster as being from Guyer. I guess he's a walk-on? Anyway, the two freshmen being redshirted....the aformentioned Zac Whitfield and Antoine Jimmerson.....plus Brandin Byrd...give us some good candidates to re-load with. Also, the walk-on Jeremy Brown was really impressive last spring. And he's a freshman--not sure if he might end up being red-shirted too.

Brett PM'd me and told me that the official site roster is wrong....and that "Sarge" is a sophomore. Great!

I love the future of our defense with guys mentioned in this article. Brett lists "Sarge" as a sophomore....everything I can find has him as a junior. I hope that we somehow got an extra year of eligibility for him. He was in the Army, and didn't play any college ball anywhere else....so maybe he's just a soph.?
