Byes can be killers. In 2010 at Hot Springs....we had a bye. We played a really bad ULM team, who had played the day before. They had the lead most of the game. But we scrapped back and won. Then went on to win the tournament. Go Mean Green!!!

Nice win.....4-0..... Skylar pitched really well....except for one inning, but she got out of the jam. Mean Green now 18-7....on to Wichita for a three game weekend series.

3 spot in the 4th....puts us up 3-0. Skylar pitching great........a no hitter thru 4 (1 walk) UNT 3 TSU 0.......top of 5th

Skylar starts and has pitched three perfect innings. We haven't scored either.....0-0 in the bottom of the third.

Our 17-7 Mean Green need to get back on track.....they play Tarleton State (14-10) tonight. Game is on ESPN+ Go Mean Green!!!

Ever see the guy? He's humongous. Once saw him tweet, that he had just gotten home. (This was in May). And that he was gonna stay in his truck for 15 or so minutes....because he was dreading going up to his apartment on the 3rd floor. So good for Bobcat High. They can have his initials on their unis.......when he cacks.

Not sure if everyone knows this....but the basketballs that the women use....are slightly smaller than the ones that men use. So just by that......it ought to be even a smidgen easier for them to make a FT.

Looks like he's now with Tennessee. His X feed is all about the Vols.

Tonight at 8 p.m. at Dickies Arena. Should be a close game.....as they won by 7 in Tampa.....we won by 7 in Denton. Go Mean Green!!!

She pitched well in relief....against Yale (Feb. 22) and had a good start against Yale on Feb. 23....at the UTA tourney. I don't think she's been in a game since.

AS I recall....her last outing....in relief.....was really good. Three up, three down.....3 ks. IIRC

I went to all three games this weekend.....didn't see her.

Glad you posted this...was about to post something similar. That was the year of Covid crowd restrictions......so all the CUSA teams played two game series at a place. So not only did we lose our regular season finale....to UAB....we lost the previous game to them, as well. (Both at the Super Pit). People seem to forget....we finished that regular season............13-9. (lots of cancelled games). We then won 4 games in the tourney....in 4 days. (the last one going into OT). And then we beat Purdue. So can this team.....which is 23-7.....go to FW and win three games in three days......of course they can.

We lost the final game, 5-3. Anderson started, Kayleigh Smith relieved her....and got the loss. Then down 4-3 at the top of the 7th....Rodney brought in Skylar. She gave up a run....unearned. But the fact that she can't pitch a clean inning....a hit and a walk.....caused there to be runners on base. (for the error to bring in a run from 3rd). Skylar pitched 30 pitches in the 7th. I haven't seen Mackenzie Childers any of late. Makes me think, she has quit. So we have very little pitching right now. I hope it can turn around. Love watching them play.

Win Game 1.......5-4. Lose Game 2.........8-7. The Game 2 loss is strictly on Coach Delong. Skyler was gifted a 7-2 lead. And in the fifth inning....Rodney leaves her in so long.....that she lets the game get tied. Finally he brings in Kayleigh Smith and she pitches well the rest of the way. I think she gave up the 8th run...but am pretty sure that gal was the responsibility of Skyler. Any adversity seems to just mess Skyler up. In that 5th....we had one out....and then Cierra Simon made a great play for out 2. But they reviewed it....and showed that the runner was safe. That seemed to mess her up enough....to where she just started throwing BP. Bad, bad loss.

Due to expected rain on Saturday.........we are now playing a doubleheader Friday. Games at 4 and 6:30. All on ESPN+

Down 6-2 in the top of the fourth. Savage out, after giving up 6 earned runs in 2 innings pitched. Anderson relieved her and got us out of the 3rd.

2-2, after 2. In our half of the second.....Elizabeth Moffitt, Ausha Moore doubled....putting runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs. Maddie Conley then hit a scorcher to right....that the RF didn't seem to be able to see.....even though it was hit right at her. Error I would think.

Another bad start to a game for Skyler.....down 2-0 after two batters. Anyway....after 1, OSU 2 UNT 0

We're 2-1 right now......remember Baylor.

The winds are supposed to calm down this evening. Sure hope so.

I asked Johnnie Massie....if he is about ready...and he said he hopes to play in the next game. I'm not sure if this was mentioned.....but #55 (Cortes) was a high school teammate of Matty Stone. The guy made some shot during the game and shot a look over at our bench....right at Matt. I sensed they aren't best of buds.

Sure about that? Every forecast I've seen (internet or TV) has the rain happening overnight....like 4-6 am.
