The original Bottom 10....was written in the 70's or 80's, by a newspaper writer named Steve Harvey (who now writes for the LA Times). Anyway, his column appeared weekly in newspapers during the football season. Back then, UTEP was horrible, and he used to call the school: The University of Texas at El Intercepted Paso.

I thought EZ-Up is what got Wade Wilson suspended.

Gee.....you go to the official website for what you think would be the most up to the date info.....and you read that there is no show scheduled for Sept. 10. Heck, I would have been there....if I had only known.

It wasn't cancelled. It was never scheduled for this week....as we have an Open Date. It will resume next Monday, the week of the FAU game.

I went by Fouts today....they have painted some of the press box side. (From what I was told by Jim Hobdy---that color that is on there now is a primer; the final color may be a little different). But, you can tell from what they've already done----that it's going to look 1000% better when they're finished. Plus, the bathrooms are going to be lots nicer. And speaking of Mr. Hobdy---he won't brag on himself, so I will. The reason that our stadium is getting a new paint job, is because he was contacted by a friend at a paint company. That paint company wanted to do a huge project for free---for the publicity. So, Jimmy hooked them up with Athletics....and because of that, we're getting a $68,000 paint job for free. So, when you're at Fouts....and it looks a lot nicer........thank Jimmy for hooking us up with a free paint job.

This may have been posted.....but if you don't know: Casey Fitzgerald's 327 receiving yards last night......is the 4th highest one-game total in NCAA Division I history.

BTW....JD.....Dickey may have said that, but that's not an original thought of his. Darrell Royal is the one who originally said that. As a matter of fact, as far as I can tell, Dickey never had an original thought of his own. For example, I was calling people on this board "F*****S" .....years before he did.

I was really proud of our kids last night. The second game in a row.....where they didn't quit. And, btw....I totally don't get the bashing of Danny and Evyn. Geez. Danny had a RECORD SETTING NIGHT. 601 freaking yards. And guess what people.......when you throw MORE........statistically, you're going to have more picks. Danny averaged 1 pick every 21 passes. Yes, the last two were inopportune, but that young man played great. 601 freaking yards and people still bitch. BTW......if you want to go back to DickeyBall, his vaunted offense at USU put up 280 yds. of offense against Wyoming. 601 freaking yards. And, let me add it is such a pleasure to have an offense that can come back in games. Anyway, proud of our kids.....EVERY ONE OF THEM. And I love a head coach who's quoted as saying, "We aren't near as good as we're gonna be." And to the fans that were there....thanks for showing up. You all made me proud, too. GO MEAN GREEN!

Speaking of noise, I thought it was very CRAPPY of SMU to play that thunderous horse noise, when we were at the line, during 3rd down situations. I have no problem, if their fans make noise and cause us problems. But, canned noise....should be against the rules. (I think it is.....) And, it did hurt us. We had a 3rd and 7, at their 28......they pump up the volume on that horse noise....and we get a false start. That five yards, stalled our drive and put us out of FG range.

Moore went 11-11 in two years at NT (following Hayden's last two years of 19-3). Here's something that Kevin Sherrington put in a column....which I have doubts about it: He said that 10 of Moore's 11 losses at NT, were to bowl teams. Think that's true? It may be.....I don't know.

TAMU--International is not the school that used to be called Texas A & I. Texas A & I is TAMU-Kingsville. TAMU-I is located in Laredo.

I never said, that folks would leave the football game early. I just said, they might want to consider giving more time between the events. And yes, I do hope as many folks as possible will go to BOTH GAMES.

I like the schedule.....but I'm not a fan of day games. (the 2 p.m. tipoffs). And, if they're going to have the Cameron game, after our Navy football game.....they ought to move the b-ball game back to 7:30. Because, with Dodge Ball our football games are going to last longer......and folks might have to rush straight from the football game to the b-ball game....because I can easily see the football game going to 6:30 or later.

Hey PHS Coach.....if you're the parent of a player....I appreciate the fact that your kid plays for us. But, what I know is: You parents are gone from the program as soon as Sonny graduates/flunks out/transfers. And, I also know that good fans like UNT Flyer and others, will be here supporting my alma mater, long after you're gone. So, lay off our alums...dude.

Sounds like a great idea to me.
