I agree. I'm very proud of those guys and gals. I realize it'll be Thanksgiving break....but I hope some of the Crew makes it to Arlington on Wednesday. GMG!

Ben Knox, our signee from Arlington Grace Prep....had 6 points in a game last night against Cleburne.

The final is in from Moody: http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=273212567

That's already been discussed in this thread: http://www.gomeangreen.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=37858 And, it's not 60 points....it's 90.

I think the NMSU game before the Texas game will tell us a lot, as well.

The Alabama message boards are buzzing.............. http://alabama.rivals.com/forum.asp?fid=427

What the Hell are you even talking about? Do you even know? CMJ has been a rabid fan on this board for years. Well before any of us ever heard of Keith 7. And btw....someone saying that they're being "cautiously optimistic" is in no way slamming the team. also, if you're going be so nitpicky...why don't you stop slamming the football team?
-
Notre Dame still gets decent ratings....even when they suck. If NBC dropped them....you'd have every one of their games picked up by all the other networks. (ABC, CBS, Fox Sports, the ESPNs).

Season tickets are counted in the official attendance. So even if someone wasn't there and had bought a ticket...it counts toward the total.

One Reason To Keep Watching This Season
SUMG replied to TheColonyEagle's topic in Mean Green Football
Well not breaking that record gives us something to shoot for. But, really if we break it...is it that big of a deal? I mean, yes, we've had bad defense this year. We all know that. Is somehow having the statistical worst defense ever (point-wise) going to be some kind of black mark on our school? Nope. 99.9% of the posters on this board (myself included) couldn't have told you that Eastern Michigan held the previous record (without looking it up). So there. -
One Reason To Keep Watching This Season

I'd like to know though....was that record we might break...done in an 11-game season or a 12-game season? Because, it's not really fair to compare the two records....if we end up breaking it, but play one more game. -
These games are set for 2008: @ LSU @ Kansas State @ Rice H- Tulsa 2009: @ Ball State @ Alabama Those are all set according to today's FW paper. I believe the other two 2009 games will be home games with Rice and Army.

Casey now holds the single season receiving records for: Yards and Receptions. He still needs one TD to tie, and two TDs to break Ron Shanklin's single season record for TD catches.

13,300. But whatever it ends up being....we've had a great year, attendance wise. I think right now, we're a little over 83,000.....as I recall. So, if we just have 7,000 there, our average for the year is going to be 18,000+. Not bad for a team that has been either winless or 1-win for every home game.
-
In all our years of playing there.......I don't remember us winning many games. And, I sure don't remember any games where we won handily (even with Coach Blakely's great teams). It's definitely a tough place to play. And I wonder if JJ, his staff or any of his players have ever even been in the place. GMG!

I heard that Ms. Strange is the new chairperson of the BOR......and that she is very pro-Athletics. So, I think we're in good shape.

You know, it looked like there at the end....that the worst case scenario for us, would be that the game would go into Overtime. IMHO, if we had taken that game into OT, and lost...it would have been much easier to handle, than losing the way we did. That being said, one thing I love about this team: They haven't quit on Todd. I sort of expected us to be flat at the start of the game yesterday. We had the hangover effect from the Navy game...plus we had a short work week....and had to go on the road. But, our kids were ready to play. They weren't flat. That's a huge testament to TD and his staff. Anyway, that was a tough loss to handle. But, I still have no doubts that Todd Dodge is going to lead us to some great places (bowl wins, rankings, etc).

I'll be there, and I'm bringing a neighbor of mine.

UNT’s 82-73 win is the first time in the series history – which dates back 1937 and involves 13 games – that the Mean Green have defeated Oklahoma State. The victory is UNT’s first over a Big XII opponent since 2003 when the Mean Green defeated Baylor, 73-69. Under head coach Johnny Jones, the Mean Green improves to 2-8 vs. the Big XII. The win is the Mean Green’s first in five games overall vs. Oklahoma State in Denton. The announced crowd of 6,793 ranks No. 8 among the top 10 all-time crowds at the Super Pit. The Cowboys’ loss extends their current road losing streak to 13 games, dating back to Feb. 11 of last season. Senior Keith Wooden connected on his first four baskets on his way to a career-high 25 points. He matched his previous career scoring mark of 20 points early in the second half at the 15:00 mark. Wooden shot 12-14 from the floor (along with 1-3 FTs) to set a new career high in made field goals (previous high was 8) while tying his career best in FG attempts. Wooden has now scored in double figures 17 times during his one-plus seasons at UNT. He scored 25 tonight after notching just 5 points in the season-opener vs. Cameron. Wooden ended with 2 blocked shots in the game; He blocked 2 or more opponent shots 10 times last season. After turning the ball over 10 times in the opener vs. Cameron, the Mean Green reached that total by halftime against the Cowboys. UNT committed 20 for the game. Freshman guard Josh White matched Wooden for game-high scoring honors with 25 points on 8-13 shooting, including hitting 3-4 from three-point range and connecting on 6-of-6 FTs. The 5-10 true freshman was also second on the team in rebounds vs. the Cowboys with six. Junior Harold Stewart shared the team high in rebounds with Wooden as both players grabbed eight boards. Last season Stewart grabbed eight or more in just four games. UNT now stands 47-10 under coach Johnny Jones when scoring 80 or more points.

KRAM.....RV said that the 2009 game with Army is here. As to Air Force....they owe us a home game, but are trying to buy us out of the contract for $250,000. The game was to be in 2009, but Air Force has been offered $1 million to play the first game at University of Minnesota's new stadium (due to open that year).

I'm beginning to wonder if the Thursday ASU game is only on ESPN Game Plan, and wasn't picked up by Channel 21. There is no mention of Channel 21....in the game notes. They only mention ESPN Game Plan. http://www.meangreensports.com/pdf6/95954....;DB_OEM_ID=1800 And the game is not on KTXA's Thursday schedule. Anyone know for sure?
