Someone at 247 put in a crystal ball pick for him to UNT today. -

This was already happening in the Big 10 with Ohio State and MAC schools. Honestly, I'm fine with them doing away with camps. This isn't 1975 or even 2000 for that matter. If there is a good prospect somewhere, he will be found.

Harry's not saying...he's just saying.

The board it creepy quiet. No board update on the spring game. At a time with a new coach coming onboard I expected the board to be buzzing.

Seriously, anyone else go? Anyone????

Confused ... has spring ball started?
H-towngreen replied to NorthTexan95's topic in Mean Green Football
Agreed. Other than the video in the Alec Morris thread I haven't seen anything. Harry, I saw this every spring but damn I miss your old spring ball notes in the premium section!!! -
MGB: Augie DeBiase talks about visit to UNT
H-towngreen replied to Brett Vito's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
Why would you says catch him off? He took time out of his schedule to come to Denton from Florida. Plenty of kids take mid week official visits. Patrick Hudson too a mid week visit to UT a week ago. Not uncommon. Mid week they can get the full attention of the staff. -
Whare in the world did qb Conner Means go?

i didn't like the offer from the get go. Kid had horrible numbers in HS. -

Poll: Are you ready for dead period to be over?
H-towngreen replied to BillySee58's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
Can't wait to see what Littrell and company can do when the light turns green -
Always thought a drop down in divisions made the most sense. Gets 2 years instead of sitting 1 and playing 1

Wow!!! Love it! This is much needed

Social media is a huge tool in recruiting now

There is certainly a lot of downside in grabbing a 1 and done transfer like Kincade. He may never make it to campus, he may leave during the year he has to sit out, he may make through that but not be the QB everyone was expecting. But here is why I think it's a good deal for UNT. We are so late in the recruiting process that Littrell isn't going to be able to go out and find some great *3 uncommitted QB. There is a chance that he might be able to flip someone but it's not likely. QB's are the most important and difficult position to recruit, therefore most are committed by the end of their JR year. So say we don't get a QB this year. We start the 'Bama grad transfer Morris this season. That gives Littrell a full season to recruit our future QB. He is able to come in and redshirt while Kincade starts. Once Kincade leaves then we have a RS Freshman ready to take over.

I like that both the new hires have coordinator experience.

We've also been in a dead period pretty much the entire time Littrell has been here

So they didn't have any depth. Which is bc they had restrictions on their recruiting
-
You can throw USC out the window as they were under scholarship restrictions. Then 3/4 of the teams in the playoff finished with top 20 classes with Iowa being on the outside. But let's be honest, Iowa had the scheduling stars align for them. Recruiting is everything. For the most part look at the top few teams in every conference and you will see the top recruiting teams. It's that simple.

Agreed. Like I said in another thread. We didn't put our guys in situations to succeed under Mac. With this offense that's exactly what you're doing.

2 of our new offensive coaches including Graham Harrell our new OC are coming from Washington St. Game is currently on CBS. If you want a bit of an idea of what type of offense we might run, this is your chance.
