  1. Apologies. They invited them to walk on with the opportunity to earn a scholarship. It just means they have to prove themselves more. They have to prove themselves in drills in order to earn practice snaps. They have to prove themselves in those practice snaps that they can handle being in a game situation. Maybe one day they will earn a full ride. You can point to the success stories but more often than not walk ons don't ever see the field. They are valuable bodies that help out in practice.
  2. Anyone else have notes on yesterday's scrimmage? Always love Vito's but its great to get more opinions on what went down. I just need football in my life right now!

  4. Bc there aren't enough scrimmage snaps to divide amongst 6 players.
  5. To this point in Spring Camp it we've heard a lot of buzz surrounding 2 players, Dajon and Erick Evans. Evans is interesting bc we are already stacked at RB. Pegram, Jim Jim, Lewis, Rollins all saw the field last season. One thing that Evans brings to the table is speed. Hopefully he can keep it up through camp and fall. Here is his highlight video from HS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrrbtKHYD5Q
  6. Worst running blog evah. Much better with the update now! Seems to always have connection problems that don't allow him to keep it running.
  7. Is anyone making it out today to provide a report?
  8. Wouldn't mind him and Trussel
  9. I think I remember hearing at tsome point that there was going to be another JR Day this weekend. Anyone know?
  10. Who is Sheldon Wade?
  11. It seems like this is pretty well wrapped up. Putin did what he wanted. The world stood by and watched. Obama gave the slightest of wrist slaps to a few of Putins sidekicks. The only thing it watch is if Putin pushes his military futher into Ukraine.
  12. Cerberus, where are our updates!??
  13. They didn't win any road games worth a damn. Beating teams at home really doesn't mean much these days.
  14. Yes, keep them coming! This is an interesting event that I feel isn't getting enough pub
  15. What is the worlds next move on this? We've allowed Russia to build up there defenses and dig in now for 2 weeks. We've basically threatened sanctions at this point. Are we waiting to see how the vote turns out? I can guess it will end up looking like the latest North Korean vote. If the vote goes in Russia's favor if and when do they move east?
  16. Nailed it!
  17. Championship!!!!!!!!!
  18. YES!!!! Benford received the dreaded "vote of confidence" we all know what happens next!!!
  19. This hurts as a fan but it was the right move. Sad day. Future Hall of Famer.
  20. Thanks Cerebus! It seems to me it basically comes down to how Putin wants to handle this. Is he ballsy/dumb enough to try to push for more. If he does try to push for more or once that first shot is fired I can't see it ending up as anything but bad for Putin.
  21. How do you see this going? Russian pullback? Crimea breaking off?
  22. What are you trying to say Harry?
  23. Players are committing earlier and earlier every season, so if a player is ready to sign early then let them sign early. If a player is not ready or thinks that they might have a breakout senior season then they can wait it out for the 2nd signing period. It will help the schools in that they can stop having to put resources towards players who are already committed elsewhere, be it there school or another. Plus you would hopefully see a decrease in the decommit game that so many kids are doing these days. I think this would really help a school like UNT. Whereas I'm sure most major schools will get the majority of their class signed early, I imagine UNT would get a handful. But that would allow UNT to narrow in on what's left, on who they want and not have to fight the big boys at the last second. It would also make evaluations more important for the big schools as they would be signing a good chunk of their class of Soph/JR years play. No breaking up with a player if he has a down senior season.
  24. Looks like this is coming down the pipeline. This would be a win win for everyone involved. http://espn.go.com/college-sports/recruiting/football/story/_/id/10566757/ncaa-considering-early-signing-period-football
  25. Thanks for the udpates gents, keep them coming as camp carries on!
