Conspiracy or not. This year we have no bye weeks which will hurt us throughout the season and if we do go to N.O. we would have way to much time off before the game. And it is a little weird to have your 1st conference game as the 2nd game of the season.

What are the rankings for?

Would I rather beat LSU than MUTS, hell yea. Do we have any shot in hell to beat them, hell no.

Forget about wanting to see one replace the other for a change of pace or fresher legs. I cant wait to see both Cobbs and Thomas in the backfield together. I have a feeling that our offense will be putting up some big numbers this year. MUTS wants to talk about their receivers, well how about ours. With J-Quin, Muzzy, Stickler, Covington, and my breakout player Brandon Jackson. We have a lot of both talent and depth at the WR postion. To go along with the best O-line in the league. But once again it all points to the QB postion. And to tell you the truth with all that talent around him I think that Byerly will be just fine with more reps during August and then a big game against LSU. After playing in Death Valley in front of 85,000+ playing in the 'boro the next week in front of 20,000 will be nothing. And then on D, once again we are going to be stronger than most expect. We have a very solid and deep LB postion. I personally believe that our D-line will actually be stronger than last year with a lot of talent filling in those spots. And the same goes for the backfield, hopefully Branch will be able to maintain the level from spring ball. Then we have a pretty good juco transfer in Weathers? to fill out the only other spot left. The only reason people want to knock us, is our inexperience in certain areas but I believe that out talent is a better than anybody in the belt including MUTS.

Yes DD does have a plan. Go into Death Valley, lose big, get out healthy, lose every other OOC, and then run the table in the belt. There is almost no chance of us beating LSU or K-State. I would love to say that we do but I'd just be lying to myself. Now La-Tech and Tulsa on the other hand, those two are big games. Why? Because they are winnable. 9-2 or 7-4(if we run the belt). One gets us in the N.O. bowl again. The other gets us in at LEAST the N.O. bowl possibly another bowl and much deserved recognition. Those 2 games are going to be a huge hurdle for this program.

this kid is crazy! is everyone else in slow motion or something. He's only going to be a junior next year right?

One player that never gets mentioned is WR Brandon Jackson from my hometown of Sugar Land. No he is not a fresh. or a red shirt but he got in some good playing time last year as a true fresh at receiver. He was rated one of the top receivers going into his senior season playing in a tough league on a bad team. He has good size and decent speed. I look for more things from him this year.

I would take that in a heartbeat! If we could actually win an OOC games that would be great and 2 would be even better and I think that 2 is a reasonable expectation for this season. Along with a few OOC wins would come just a little bit more respect from everyone.
