  1. Right on POP. I think that we were all a little bitter the last couple days, but trust me as the week goes on things do get more positive here. By the way how has Brent been doing. It's good to hear that he is still looking at NT, are there anyother big names in there.
  2. Does it really matter? Tulsa didn't have their 1st string RB for the game.
  3. Say what? What are yall talking about here?
  4. You don't have to be given a medical redshirt, and the NCAA wouldnt do it for him because hes not an alcoholic from OU.
  5. It really sucks when you should win more like 24-0 and end up losing 14-13. Cowboys had control of the game all night long. A bad holding call on Flozell cost us a key 3rd down conversion late in the game, difference maker. Just puts a cap on a bad sports weekend for me.
  6. Sportsbook.com has us listed as 24 point dogs vs K-State. In terms of odds making that sounds about right to me.
  7. Exactly Clavin! If he is hurt then dont play him at all. If he is not then why isnt he playing. Cobbs is a good back, but J-MO is better. When they are putting 8 in the box PC can get his 2-4 yds a carry but JT on the other hand can bust them open for more. DD needs to answer this tonight at the show.
  8. The only reason Troy went to a bowl was becasue of the end of the seaon fight between South Carolina and Clemson?? Otherwise they would have been at home.
  9. Does DD take questions and/or comments from the crowd in attendence. If so those of you need attend and show your/our support for NT and DD. And if he does make any of his "It's tough to do it at NT" comments let him know how good he has it. One more thing can someone ask him why JT isnt getting the ball?
  10. I believe the play of the day that changed the momentum came in the 1st quarter. North Texas had a 1 and 20 around the Tulsa 40 with NT up 2-0. PC gets a huge 39 yd. run down to the Tulsa 1, all to be called back due to a holding. Chances are we score and ro up 9-0 heading into the 2nd quarter. It's a different game if this play would have stood. These penalties NEED to stop. They will kill a team more than anything else, on both sides of the ball. Point and case.
  11. We all know that there are going to be setbacks in our OOC games. But the killer is that this here was a game against a perceived winnable team at home. Our first such game in a long time. And also because they came into our stadium and embarressed us. This game was not even respectable. We now need to turn our focus to a tough road game at K-State and our next winnable game at La-Tech.
  12. What happened? What did he say?
  13. Tulsa is a team that mainly recruits in the same areas(OK, Texas) as North Texas. Especially in the metroplex area. We battle them for many recruits and this game may have an effect on some recruits having to choose between the two. Just another blow to add to the long list.
  14. All very true Harry, onto K-State.
  15. I am by no means throwing in the towel on this season but more so I want to just look ahead to next year. There is no doubt that this is a rebuilding year, with all personal losses suffered. I don't have the depth chart, or listings of what year everyone is but this is an extremely young team here. Just thinking about what we return next year gets me excited. We are only going to lose a handfull of players on both sides of the ball. Like I said, I'm still expecting a lot from this year but the next few should be great. P.S. No objections here if someone wants to go through the depth chart and list who we lose.
  16. LESS FILLING!!!!!
  17. NT-31 TU-24 J-Mo- 147 yds Cobbs- 97 yds Meager- 12-17 1 td
  18. We should be questioning if we are giving ourselves to much credit.
  19. North Texas gets a little extra loot, no complaints here.
  20. Yes bring back the piss walls. I took a trip to Columbia, SC to see the South Carolina Arkansas game last year and USC has the piss walls. It was the best part of the trip.
  21. Exactly Harry, thats what I said a few days ago. Monroe has the speed, strength and tackling ability to get it done. Instead of spying the QB spy the TE, it sounds weird but hey whatever works. I think we should throw in some more 3-4 in order to get more LBs out on the field. Its a way to contain Mills, and also a way to change up the pressure on the QB.
  22. I've said it all week so far and I'll keep saying it till gametime. We need to stop Mills the TE. They have no running game and other then Mills not much of a passing game. Ball control offense, Meager puts the ball in the air about 14-17 times. With the O on the field the D is off. We need our LBs to step up to cover Mills, biggest matchup of the game.
  23. The entire linebacking corps beccause they are the ones who are going to have to cover their TE Mills.
  24. The best way to stop a TE is with a 3-4. The extra speed out their will help and being off the line by 5 yds. will help our LBs to see what Mills is up to. Get Mendoza, Monroe, Holman, Graves, and Thompson out there. I'm telling you all now the only weapon we have to worry about from Tulsa is their TE so we need to see more of the 3-4.
  25. Except he has us losing next week to Tulsa 21-20.
