Excellent points. You have to look and somwhow be able to tell how much more weight an 18 yr old kid can put on his body, without over doing it. That there is a tough science.

Just got back from watching the game. Jerry Hughes is a stud! He finished around 100 on the ground as his team won 7-6. He had 3 long runs, a 70 and 2 60, called back due to penalties. He has it all. It takes two or more to bring him down, he has excellent vision, and the speed to take it outside. Several times he should have been brought down behind the line but either reversed field or just ran over people for a short gain. Right now it appears TCU is in the lead but he would look good in green.

Have we had kids at games taking their official visits, or is will that be happening at a later game?

Yes we can improve what we have to work with. Through recruiting. Now that we have all these new things poping up, I see better classes coming to NT. It will be intresting to see how this upcoming recruiting season will be. Will we have better recruits visiting? Will we be able to persuade some to sign? Will it only be a few players or will this whole class be vastly better when compared to others? The only thing we can do is wait and see

Did we blow his shirt already? I remember him being in a few games. I get confused by the red shirting. Is it if they play or if they are involved in a certain % of plays of some other thing?

Just a quick update on Fort Bend Austin prospect Jerry Hughes. In the greater Houston area 5-A he is currently 7th in rushing with 137 carries for 878 yds avg. of 6.4. He is also currently leading the area in scoring with 16 tds 96 pts. I will be attending his game tommorow night and update yall.

I'm not saying all or even a majority of freshman. But in the case of the o-line, why not? We still have a chance a to win conference and bo bowling. We don't have to many options to plug in there except for freshman. The main person I would like to see play would be Banks. One other question, where is Venegas? Is he on O-line or D-line. By all reports he was doing good by once the season started nothing.

I'm glad to see that everones temper has settled down a little since yesterday. As said before I'm glad to have meangreenpop post here regularly, as it brings another viewpoint to the board.

That's my question too. With the O-line play so poor why not put in Banks. His would be the biggest body on the line.

Yes Meager was here last year but as a 3rd string QB. That means he got maybe a series a week of snaps, probably less. Yes he was here for fall drills, but remember he seperated his shoulder. Yes I know it's becasue he is "injury prone" cause he's been hurt twice in 3 years. once again yada yada.

They have a little running back named D'Angelo Williams by the way. Before anyone even says it, yes I know we have PC and JT yada yada. Williams is better, and they have a overall better offense

Somebody please tell me what a fan is entitled to when they go to an away game. When I think of it I expect to see a football game. Thats it. I dont expect the players to come and shake my hand, tell me thanks for coming, anythink especially after a loss. If you want to talk to the players after the game go out of the stadium and wait for them to trickle out onto the buses. Then you can cheer/boo/meet/shake hands with, whatever it is you want to do. Everyone on this board needs to go back and read MEANGREENPOPS post on Why the team has turned their back
