  1. Wow, aren't you clever. Do you always take things so litterally?
  2. Yeah I know they did win. What I meant was that EVEN if they had not won, they still looked good.
  3. I consider myself somewhat of a uniform guru, I have had in interest in them since I was in elementary school. Here is what I think of the uniforms of the prefessional Dallas teams. Cowboys: Classic. Some things should never change. I just think they should wear the blue jerseys more. Stars: The jerseys with the Star outlining the jersey is different. However, I always liked the first ones they had. The Home jerseys were great, but the roads were plain. I would go back to the home jersey and for the road jersey, have the green with the thick black stripe from the top of the shoulders all the way down. Mavericks: Should have stayed close to the classic "M" with the hat. They should have made a slight change to the uniforms, and kept something very close to the hat logo Rangers: The old dodger-like blues were great, but they were right to retire those when they moved to the Ballpark. The following red uniforms were excellent. Bright, sharp, stylish, and sleek. They made a HUGE mistake to go to the current blues. Anaheim moved to the all red uniforms, and they looked good, even if they didnt win the World Series. Burn: Never really seen them. Sidekicks: I haven't seen what they are throwing out there now, but I liked the old green ones they used to have.
  4. Agreed, the Mavs should not have strayed far from the classic "M" with the hat. The old Rangers blue with the Dodger-like script was great, but I think it was the right time to change uniforms when they changed stadiums. I think they should have stayed with the red uniforms they had. Anaheim changed to red this year and look how sharp and stylish they were.
  5. Honestly, I don't care what logo they use, just please bring back the red uniforms. Those were good uniforms. These blue ones don't work. <_
  6. I have seen the old Maple apartments, and the apartments on NT Blvd @ Prairie have been torn down. What are they planning to put there? Here is something that I think would be good. Austin has 6th street, New Orleans has Burbon Street, what do we have? Please don't even let the words Fry street come out of your mouth. Honestly, besides a few good restraunts and a couple of good bars, Fry has NOTHING. NOOOTTTHHHHIIIIINNNGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why not take down more of those apartments on Prairie down, and put a bunch of college hangouts there. Some more college eateries, a few more bars, and some clubs would be cool. It would compliment Fry. They are withing walking distance of each other, so students could walk back and forth. We always talk about the students not hanging around on the weekends, or being "apathetic", I think a little strip like this could help unite the student body, the alumni, and the faculty. Instead of having to drive to Dallas, they have something right here in Denton. Good food, dancing, and games. Another big plus side to this would be that its right behind the stadium!!!! It would be a great place for tailgating and getting together before the game, and likewise after the game. Just Imagine something similar to 6th in our own backyard, litteraly! Our visiting fans from the opposing schools could walk to the strip from the Raddisson, or get a quick bus ride from one of the other hotels on I-35. I know it would take alot of development, but it would be awesome to have that here.
  7. I thought it was a good idea too. Now if people would just join the group, it would be better.
  8. I hope noone minds, but I just created a Yahoo Group for people of the UNT community to interact with each other, and I wanted to post it here. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/UNTFriendfinder
  9. Yea, you would not want to try and move to another seat, ESPECIALLY not at NMSU. All 300 of the invisible fans in the section that you sitting will complain and get you aressted.
  10. Hmmm, that DOES make you wonder. <_<
  11. -------Disclaimer--------------- This post is not intended as a slam, I am not trying to piss the cheerleaders off, and I am not trying to get the hand sign debate started again. I have heard the same things about some of the cheerleaders. There seem to be some that really do care about the game and the school, but many of them could care less. I have heard from some cheerleaders that SOME cheerleaders are there only becuase they have to be. About the glaring at you, one of the males did the same thing to me last bball season when I did the correct hand sign as he was doing the guns up. He glared at me several times and then did the guns up sign intentionally. Now thats school spirit We really need the cheerleaders to help us in getting the stands full and getting people excited to be UNT fans. On a side note, am I the only one who hates bouncing the arm side to side during the whole alma matter? I prefer the swaying followed by the side to side arm movement. Why was it changed? It really looks lame.

    Scottie

Hmmm, Scottie can have his opinion about us on the other boards, and not get blasted, yet I state my opinion, and I get blasted? Kind of hypocritical, huh? I guess ALL of you conviently ignored the part of the post where I said IF that was the real scottie. Let me repeat for those of you forgot that already: I said that IF THAT WAS THE REAL SCOTTIE. And for those of you who said that you did not see him bash us, unfortunately he did. I hope I am wrong about this, but I don't think I am. So put that in YOUR pipe and smoke it

    Scottie

Does 7 years count? Sorry to break the news to you, but he is not the great supporter you believe he is.

    Scottie

Why dont you check the other boards and see how much "support" this Scottie person really has. I have been debating on writing this or not for a while. So before you go and blast me, check and see for yourself. You are excused.
  15. If I remember correctly, back in the summer, Scottie decided to cry like a baby and leave UNT and the board like a little boy taking his toys and runnning home crying to mama. I have noticed that EVERY team we play has a new poster under the name of Scottie, who trashes UNT. Back when our coach was arrested, guess who "broke" the story on the horns board? Suprise suprise, it was Scottie. After the Arizona game, he says "We (Arizona) should have destroyed UNT, they suck. What in the hell?! If this is the same Scottie who used to be such a great supporter of UNT: KISS MY ASS!!! Take some hormones and grow the **** up And you know what happes to people who pull a Benidict Arnold....
