Where do they have a list of all of the NCAA basketball teams, both women and men. I tried The Dunkel Index, but they only have mens, and they list NT as #199, so I dont think they have much credibility anymore. Where else can one look?

Not quite sure how I got singled out, but I agree with everything you say. And I agree about the organizations showing up to support. My post was something that NTEagle08, myself, and 2 other posters had talked about. The cheerleader thing, was a response to what had started coming up.

Wow, this topic got off track. My response to the first part of the thread. I love what the Pep Band does, however, there are a few things that could be done differently. 1. Play the fight song a lot less. Say before the game, at the end of the half, before the first half, and at the end of the game. 4 times, thats it. Our fight song is played almost as many times as SMUt's fight song. 2. There are only so many times one can hear "Fly Like an Eagle", and the rest of their playlist. PLEASE add some new songs to it and don't play so much repetition. 3. Have a uniform. say the same t-shirt, or matching polo shirts, and jeans. 4. Come up with some uniform chants, kind of like the Cajun pep band. I think that they are doing a great job with their enthusiasm, and I think if they make these changes, they will add far more to the game experience. Now to the cheerleaders, I know there are one or two on this board, so they can go ahead and fire up those pm's. I think its pretty much known by most of us that they have a reputation for not caring about the games. I know there are some that do care about the games. But if you watch their actions and attitudes at the games, to me it seems like we are back to the "I don't care" attitude. Watch when they throw out the t-shirts, they will only go out as far as the 3 point line, and without looking to see who is standing up yelling, they simply toss them into the stands, then walk back. They also don't seem to pick the right cheers. Last Thursday, there was a very small crowd at the Pit. They decide to do the "North, Texas" chant. IMO, they need to show enthusiasm and act like they care. But please don't show as much enthusiasm as the UNO cheerleader that was at the SBC Tourney last year. If there arent enough that want to go to they game, then why dont we enlarge the squad so we can rotate the cheerleaders and get the ones who really want to be there?

This will enable Meager to ignite our ofense, and our superior D will shut Texas down. @ Tulsa: W 34-7: We will blow into Tulsa and completly dominate them. vs SMU: W 56-10: With a soldout Fouts, the mousestangs will not ever be in the game as our rabid fans scare the crap out of SMU players. a couple hundred disenfranchised SMU fans will be turned away at the door, leaving Fouts full of NT fans vs MTSU: W 42-14: The new MTSU coach will have gotten the TPS memo on NT domination of the series, because it contained the infamous cover sheet. @ Troy: W 35-10: NT rolls into Troy and pulls off an easy win, and the fans leave with some of those pretty blond southern belles. vs FIU: W 28-0: The NT D pitches a shutout. I was there last night, sitting in the student section. If you werent there, I dont know if you can really understand how close we were to winning. even with the sorry refs, we almost won. If just 3 more of those free throws go in, we win. Yes there was home cooking, but the refs did suck both ways. Just more of those BcS calls were against us. A couple that stand out in my mind is when JB got pushed down, litterally, but was called for a foul, and when one of our guys was on the ground going for the ball, one of the ATM players tripped over him and we were called. Still, we were with them the whole game. They couldnt put us away, and it had nothing to with them having a "off" night. Aside from the game, They do have a nice facility. I will stil put the Pit up against just about any of those BcS facilities. Their dancers are really bad. No, I mean they pretty much suck. I don't know what their instructor does during practice, but she might want to teach them coreography. Alot of their cheers are incredibly retarded. For one, they would routinely chant "Army, Army" over and over. Supposedly their core all goes into the Army, but unless they have a obligaion to enter the Army, ie West Point, that chant needs to be done away with. Another tradition is to hold your hand in an "A" during an Aggie free throw. The "A" obviously stands for "Aggie". Sorry, I thought they had more creativity than that, I mean, the do have Milk Deliverey Men from the '50's leading their yells. Speaking of yells, they really should do away with the "Beat the hell out of ..." Its ok a few times, but when you are about to beat a team by only TWO POINTS, you might want to avoid that one. They have to have the second most retarded fight song EVER!!! I know its only referring TU, but it really sounds idiotic when you are singing it as someone other than TU enters the arena, field, etc. I was trying not to laugh during that. Finally comes the yell leaders. I dont know how it got started, but it really looks retarded to have guys that are dressed like milkmen leading cheers. They get WWWAAAAAYYY to into it. Its rather pathetic actually. To sum it up, if my kids decide to go to A$M, I will disown them. And Ive never been one to tout moral victories, but I would call that one last night. But to hear Johnny come out and say that was not a moral victory, that they came to win, its freakin awesome. Hey dd, did you hear that?
