Those Unis were as bad, if not WORSE than the Stars' third jerseys. Many think that DD or MM bought those all black pieces of crap. Others say they looked like practice jerseys, um, little birdie told me those WERE the practice jerseys. I alos believe that the players were told to wear them, thus possibly throwing off their concentration before the game, to all of a sudden change jerseys. And DD in all black, wow, what an arse. To wear all black and tell the players to wera all black as a sign of protest, or to make a political statement is totally classless. Take your money, and your little buddy MM and go home. Oh wait, you already are. Oh, did anyone see or hear some interview dd made at the beginning of the week on Fox? Apparently at the end of the interview he squeezed in the comment, " I have to go and worry about putting food on the table for my family." If that comment is true, it shows dd's true class. I have no tolerance, pity, or sympathy to someone who makes that kind of money and issues that statement. Still have no problem with naming the practice fields after Dickey. What are practice fields but a place to find out what doesn't work, like Dickey's style of ball.

So, if we had 2 candidates to choose from, one white and one black, and the white coach was more qualified, why should we pick the black coach? How would that benefit the program? You say it brings attention and such. To be honest, I had forgotten about the Miss ST coach being black until it was just pointed out. True, it MIGHT cause a little local buzz at first, but when that dies, and it quickly would, you then have to rely on his ABILITIES to coach. To suggest taht we should hire ANYONE base on their race is pure BS. But hell, if we want to be one of the few schools to hire a "minority", lest really ef it all up and hire an Asian. I mean damn, we'd be the only school to do that.

The Green Team was made up of players who always came to practice, worked hard, but rarely played. It was designed to give them a few series each game as a reward for their effort. DD said the idea came from a coach in NC, I think in a different sport.
