  1. You're right, but I'm thinking more big picture than him specifically winning the last gubernatorial election.
  2. Good to see we have an politically engaged student body. If only they'd put that much work into volunteering and organizing they could have kept Abbott out of the Governor's Mansion.
  3. Civil War = slavery. Texas War for Independence = not slavery. Is that simple enough for you so you can go back to weeping over dead traitors?
  4. Oh and I'd like to just blow a few people's minds and say that I don't have problem with the governor being here for a commencement speach, even if I'd never vote for Abbott.
  5. Reluctantly because while what you said is probably true, it still sucks lol.
  6. "Silent Majority" doesn't have issue with speakers they don't agree with...unless you're a Muslim trying to hold convention in Garland.
  7. Good music never dies but I do believe in being a little too old to rock n roll. I think once these guys get to be eligible for social security they're too old for me to really enjoy their performances. That's just my opinion, but maybe I'm just a narrow minded jerk.
  8. I had a battery powered mower when I had a house and it was great. Never had to worry about changing the oil, or not having gas, or cranking the damn thing. And it was lighter, which helped considering the elevation of my yard.
  9. When I had a house I did. It was partially because I was cheap, partially because it was one of the few times I actually got outside and exercised any. It didn't make me feel any more 'manly' but it was one of those things I felt better about because I did it myself. This pretty much extends to any work I do on my car, or any repair I made in my house. I think unless I ever have the dough for some large manor I'll keep on cutting my grass.
  10. He's a big Houston Dynamo guy now who talks out of his ass when it comes to soccer. Unreal what passes for 'journalism' for that organization.
  11. I'd like a nuclear power plant to dump waste in the river and sue them before giving regulation to the government too....
  12. His only evidence is that Obama is for it. Seriously, I have pretty conservative friends who are basically championing net neutrality. A couple work in the IT industry and understand exactly what's at play here.
  13. You're not wrong but we still celebrate July 4th even though it was the Siege of Yorktown that actually won it for us.
  14. Not only that, but Leonard Nimoy is dead now.
  15. Something similar to this
  16. Yeah it's almost like you didn't even see either one of those films.
  17. Um... Zero Dark Thirty alluded multiple times that torture and waterboarding lead us to finding bin Laden... The Hurt Locker's main character confesses to his infant son that there's only one thing he loves and that's his job as an explosives tech in Iraq... Get that false narrative the heck outta here.
  18. Hey Rick, if Hollywood liberals snubbed American Sniper then why didn't they snub The Hurt Locker or Zero Dark Thirty?
