That's funny, because I find that to be the opposite of all my soccer friends. They pretty much all pull for either of the Manchester clubs, Chelsea, Liverpool, or Arsenal. It's even worse when all my "Bundesliga" friends alllllllll support Bayern Munich. Must be tough for them... I have one friend actually from East London who pulls for West Ham, and another friend who did a semester abroad and fell in love with Fulham. I support Everton myself as they were the first to grab onto an American outfielder oh so long ago with Joe Max Moore.

Update: The Martian had a good cast, and I initially liked the first hour or so, but after that it got kind of tired. It was too Murphy's Law and drawn out. Sometimes you just gotta keep it simple, stupid. So I've seen every best picture nominee except Mad Max. I'd still give the nod to The Big Short or Spotlight.

You....I like you. Although I thought the Modest Mouse album was a big letdown. And I'd probably put My Morning Jacket at the top, that was such a beautiful album.

For me personally it was: 1) The Big Short 2) Spotlight 3) Room Haven't seen The Revenant or The Hateful 8 yet, but I suspect I'll like them. Although I wouldn't consider them the "best made" films this year, I really enjoyed Legend and Love and Mercy as well. I liked most everything I went to the theater for, except for 33, they absolutely failed on the execution of that film.

If you want conference champs to be auto bids for the CFB playoffs then we already have that. They play it every Sunday and it's called the NFL. Just look at the mess that it has become since they split each conference into 4 divisions. Who the hell wants Florida resting its starters against their biggest rivals in Florida State, just so they can save them for Bama. Because after all, that conference championship would matter 20x's more than a loss to another ranked team in a different conference. How about Southern Cal? What if they upset Stanford and went into the CFB playoff with 4 losses over 1 loss teams like Iowa, Ohio State, or a 2 loss Notre Dame or TCU? If you wanna expand the playoff to 8 teams I'm all ears, but don't include conference champs as an auto bid. That waters down the regular season too much. That's what I love about college football more than all the others: every game matters so much more than any almost any other sport.

Who the hell do they expect to replace him? I guess they could shoot for Dantonio or maybe Mike Gundy? I can't imagine who they expect to do better than Miles unless they're delusional enough to think Nick Saban is coming back.

Sorry seniors, but I have a personal vendetta against the athletic director, so I can't in any way show appreciation to 21 & 22 year olds who have sacrificed life and limb to get a college education! But for real, I'll be out of town visiting relatives for Thanksgiving.
