  1. Sorta. He's looking for any reason he can keep majority custody of those little cash cows for the next 6-7 years.
  2. We had this at Fouts, you just had to run back to your cooler in the trunk at halftime to split a sixer.
  3. This guy definitely knew my grandad then.
  4. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/context
  5. You guys ever heard of the so called Cilantro gene where some people love it but to others it tastes like soap? I'm convinced the same is true for jazz. I'm so happy I got the ear for it, even if not the lips or lungs.
  6. No, but it can definitely make the difference. FCD has been running ridiculously cheap ticket promotions and attendance is up like 20% this season. The atmosphere is all the better for it too. Get people in the door, show them a good time, get them hooked, and then they'll shell out more next time. Ideally anyways... That being said, you can get $20 tickets on the north side of the stadium.
  7. I understand the difference in the two, what I'm asking for clarification on is your statement What's LA planning to do that you and other employers have to follow? Do you work for a city where there's a law that says you can't also hire a non citizen?
  8. Microsoft employs non citzens, as well as Exxon or Baylor Scott & White. What is the city doing that's so different than that?
  9. This is city government though, LA is an international city that's going to do what they can to remain that way. If they find a guy that's been a great assistant city manager in Guadalajara or Liverpool or Brasilia they're not going to let something like citizenship get in the way of a qualified person they want.
  10. I mean that's some classic gish galloping for one, but like half the ones speaking about pollution were entirely accurate and were only prevented because action was taken. Mass extinctions, the rainforest disappearing...these are all happening in real time as I type this, that's not some dire prediction. If you want to go back to the days of leaded gasoline & DDT then be my guest though.
  11. My dude they downvoted me to hell for merely calling Denton a suburb, they aren't ready for these kinds of truths.
  12. Was born in 83 and never quite got the whole comparisons to that year's summer. We've had a few since that are definitely worse and I'm not even arguing climate change, just simply hotter summers like 2011.
  13. Oh shucks, another boring, uncontroversial thread on gomeangreen.
  14. McKinney is not a suburb. It is the county seat of a large county named Collin. Sounds silly, eh? Denton used to be a college town, but it's a suburb now.
  15. The Oasis is more like easy listening smooth jazz, like what you used to hear on the weather channel's local forecast. KNTU was focused more on classical jazz when it was at its peak like mid-50's through mid 70's.
  16. Dallas ain't my most desired location and in the next few years I'll be going Northwest, but your need to shit on it at every opportunity is quite tiresome. We get it, no one cares.
  17. Not what they're actually playing on 88.1 right now.
  18. Buddy people are paying $600k near me just for 5000sqft lots in Dallas. Central Market is too bourgeoisie for me, and their selection is minimal.
  19. Sheeeeeiiitttt if I won it you'd never hear from me again. No really, I'd tell maybe 2 relatives and then hide the rest of my life.
  20. China is not interested in going to war with its largest customer.
  21. wow look who popped his head out.
  22. It's a shame because Sam Boyd is so much classier than Death Star 5.0
  23. One of my biggest regrets looking back at my time at North Texas was not trying out for the Green Brigade. I enjoyed it in high school and probably would have had a blast. Ah well.
