  1. My post where I mention I'm a sexual assault victim is being downvoted. This whole board can burn for all I care.
  2. OMG dude, you really just load up for a reply and intentionally ignore the point huh? Who else has been falsely accused, it's like you keep a database of these poor poor celebrities. Thank god they have someone like you looking out for them. wEll akshually... I am not going to be baited into into some law debate over something so simple: if a woman is inebriated and passed out she cannot give consent and this is rape. You can split hairs all you want here, but you're once again you'll go out of your way to excuse it.
  3. Well you're completely missing my point so let me put it simply: More often than not football players and athletes (and men in general) are protected from the consequences of sexual assault as we saw with the enormous coverup just down the road in Waco, not the other way around. You didn't simply say let it play out in court, or "huge if true". You brought up the one exception to the rule under some sort of guise as a hero for those wrongly accused and why? because they're football players? So all I'm asking is maybe out of respect for people who have been assaulted or know someone who has been through it, you don't simply try and point out the one famous time the accusations turned out to be false, as if it holds any relevancy against the overwhelming number of times the accusations are entirely real and nothing happens. Incredibly incorrect, just ask Brock Turner.
  4. Nah, there are others in this thread who have said innocent until proven guilty without casually throwing out a famous case where there were false accusations. All I said was that it was interesting your mind went there, and look at how quickly you got defensive and struck back at me, because you can never keep things from being personal.
  5. This is an example of a strawman argument. I'd like you to show me where I said or implied anything close to this. Roundabout way of saying I'm right but go on... Ah okay. So I guess I wasn't sexually assaulted because when I reported it to the police they just shrugged and asked me what they should do about it, so let's just assume they're all false then.
  6. Something like 2% of rape claims are false allegations but this is automatically where yours and other repliers minds went. Interesting.
  7. Bingo. Manufactured outrage. This country was spending trillions on war while I was racking up debt just to get an education for a degree. But sure, my priorities are the ones out of whack in this equation...
  8. It's a shitty analogy, not surprised you can't comprehend why we're in this mess to begin with.
  9. I never called you a liar, I just said you were wrong. And I never asked for proof, because I knew you were wrong. Sorry you can't handle someone telling you that. But when you link the national review that's a totally unbias place, right? And there is an entire section in that article that addresses the legality, plain as day. The tuition got the way it did because boomers like yourself kept voting in politicians to further defund public education every chance you got. You were supposed to be paying for my college in the first place but kept shunning that responsibility to my generation and left people with $60k in debt for a $30k salary. This is just the result of you and your ilk kicking the bucket down the road like boomers always do.
  10. Clearly you still aren't thinking when you try to compare a college education to steaks and chicken.
  11. I'm not losing any argument because I'm not going to bother having one. I'm glad Biden did this, he didn't go far enough, and the boomer freakout is just a cherry on top of the sundae. Have fun with your social security that I'm paying into but will never see myself.
  12. I can link you until the cows come home and you'll still have the same opinion. https://www.vox.com/2022/8/24/23319967/student-loan-payments-debt-forgiveness-biden
  13. It's cool learning that despite the state government deregulating tuition while I was in the middle of my degree and tripling it over the course of my studies, I'm just bad with loans. Glad the people who all paid $13 a semester for their classes all have strong opinions on this and not the PPP loans that their congressman gifted to themselves with no intention of ever paying back.
  14. I don't know what gotcha you think this is, you're going to need to explain.
  15. Clearly this guy is wrong. I don't know what else to tell you.
  16. He does, no matter how many times you keep repeating this.
  17. retweets are not endorsements as they say
  18. My work computer is blocking me from that link, lol.
  19. It's not great but not for the reasons these guys all hate it.
  20. Did you root for Kevin Bacon in Animal House?
  21. You have a PhD? Good lord what a terrible take.
  22. I don't think this is an old man rant, i think you're spot on. I was a big proponent of sharing a slice of that pie with student athletes so they wouldn't have to have part time jobs, but the way in which they've done this has been a mess and just made college football feel like a cheap semi-pro league with conferences that don't even matter or make sense anymore.
  23. I don't wanna say too much, but I work very close to there and I'm dying to see the car that guys gets into after standing out there all day.
