  1. Zeppelin is legendary but dude is like 80 at this point. Easy choice. I miss the souvenir but much prefer digital in this day and age. In my day all you needed was to flash your student ID.
  2. Dude why would they? The bowl only existed because of too many eligible teams, it was put together at the last minute with overpriced tickets in a soccer stadium against another mediocre opponent on a Tuesday? afternoon. Nevermind that the stadium's capacity is still only 2/3rds of Apogee even if it would have sold out.
  3. I'll take the over on 2016
  4. They just got to campus 3 weeks ago, why would they run home so quickly?
  5. Who goes home for Labor Day?
  6. Enough for Plumm to make a new signature.
  7. It's all coaches of his era know how to do. I was a ballboy in 7th grade for the varsity team, we were playing up in 3A even though we didn't have the enrollment for it. Despite still finishing 2nd in the district to the #2 team in the state, at halftime the head coach acted like they had just lost half their platoon in Vietnam and that was my moment when I knew I wasn't gonna bother after junior high. But yeah, I guess for people who are at the scholarship level they let it roll off of them.
  8. How was Chris Weinke not older?
  9. Didn't notice the game line before, -1.5 on the road is like a touchdown. Go Mean Green.
  10. They really brought these two garbage teams all the way to Dublin?
  11. There's literally no other reason to bring it up, because other than college athlete at a party, there are no other similarities.
  12. Okay, read it wrong then. Not worried I'll ever find myself in that situation either though, because I don't go around trying to pick up drunk women to bang. My dude you were the 5th reply in this thread and literally nobody to that point said anything about the accused except that he might be losing his job. You're very quick to defend a possible rapist when nobody in this thread was ever throwing him under the bus in the first place. VERY INTERESTING IS ALL.
  13. Yes, but my point is there's a lot of ways to say this without doing what he did. Are you familiar with the term rape culture? I know it sounds like some SJW bullshit but this is a fine example of it. When there are dozens if not hundreds of cases like this where famous people are accused of sexual assault or rape, rape culture is to perpetuate the myth by bringing up contrarian examples like this. It perpetuates the myth that victims simply make up stories for attention or money or revenge when it reality that is such a tiny tiny percentage of cases, not to mention the thousands throughout college campuses (or elsewhere in the world) where the victim never shares their story. Sure I'm maybe the cause of a lot of conflict on this board, but when your first instinct is to bring up a 15 year old case in North Carolina, or some dude you knew in college, as a rebuttal to allegations like this, you're damn right I'm going to raise an eyebrow at that sort of logic and call you out on it. If you guys feel that's too personal, sorry. Nothing besides a half-assed apology voicemail the next day. New Orleans PD never returned my call when I told them he had admitted guilt on this voicemail. Between this and the few times my home has been burglarized with a similar useless police response maybe that gives some insight into why I'm pretty anti-police on this board 🙂
  14. thank you. It's WEIRD. Who sees a story about football players raping someone and automatically brings up Duke Lacrosse? As if the other 1000 times it hits the newspapers the allegations or either true or at least merit the strong possibility that they are. Nah, this guy's gotta go to bat for those poor football players because one time some other athletes in another part of the country were actually wrongfully accused. Why am I the asshole for pointing this out? imaginary internet points don't matter in the grand scheme, it's more the message someone is indirectly trying to send to you when they do that.
  15. Thanks for letting us all you know you think someone can consent under excessive inebriation as long as they're not passed out.
  16. He. And the perpetrator was actually someone who still posts on this board.
  17. There ya go dude, make sure you split those hairs and know the sexual assault laws forwards and backwards. Another interesting insight into your mind.
  18. My post where I mention I'm a sexual assault victim is being downvoted. This whole board can burn for all I care.
  19. OMG dude, you really just load up for a reply and intentionally ignore the point huh? Who else has been falsely accused, it's like you keep a database of these poor poor celebrities. Thank god they have someone like you looking out for them. wEll akshually... I am not going to be baited into into some law debate over something so simple: if a woman is inebriated and passed out she cannot give consent and this is rape. You can split hairs all you want here, but you're once again you'll go out of your way to excuse it.
  20. Well you're completely missing my point so let me put it simply: More often than not football players and athletes (and men in general) are protected from the consequences of sexual assault as we saw with the enormous coverup just down the road in Waco, not the other way around. You didn't simply say let it play out in court, or "huge if true". You brought up the one exception to the rule under some sort of guise as a hero for those wrongly accused and why? because they're football players? So all I'm asking is maybe out of respect for people who have been assaulted or know someone who has been through it, you don't simply try and point out the one famous time the accusations turned out to be false, as if it holds any relevancy against the overwhelming number of times the accusations are entirely real and nothing happens. Incredibly incorrect, just ask Brock Turner.
  21. Nah, there are others in this thread who have said innocent until proven guilty without casually throwing out a famous case where there were false accusations. All I said was that it was interesting your mind went there, and look at how quickly you got defensive and struck back at me, because you can never keep things from being personal.
  22. This is an example of a strawman argument. I'd like you to show me where I said or implied anything close to this. Roundabout way of saying I'm right but go on... Ah okay. So I guess I wasn't sexually assaulted because when I reported it to the police they just shrugged and asked me what they should do about it, so let's just assume they're all false then.
  23. Something like 2% of rape claims are false allegations but this is automatically where yours and other repliers minds went. Interesting.
  24. Bingo. Manufactured outrage. This country was spending trillions on war while I was racking up debt just to get an education for a degree. But sure, my priorities are the ones out of whack in this equation...
