  1. It'll be a split conference, right? Memphis in the West with 7 in the East?
  2. The best parody film after Airplane and everything that's come since.
  3. Come on man, you watch way too much college football to pretend like good coaches don't also get fired/leave for various reasons outside of "sucking too much". Gary Patterson is a proven coach available at the moment. Doesn't necessarily mean he's the right fit or could even be a good head coach again, but he's certainly a proven coach without a head job right now.
  4. It means they would win a lot. It's really that simple. People have engaged and given you good answers, but you still go back to your same tired arguments that his wins weren't quality or they don't count for as much because the college football landscape was different. Again, it doesn't matter. Knute Rockne is still the standard at Notre Dame for a reason, even if it was the 20's. It's a summation of all of your posts is what it is.
  5. No, but there is a thing called the Vince Lombardi trophy and he won a bunch of NFL titles when there were only 10 or 15 teams. You're trying way too hard to well akshually the most successful coach in UNT history by saying it didn't count because it was 60 years ago. Just give it a rest already, you've made your point.
  6. Didn't he throw the ball like 40 times a game during his tenure at Memphis or are college football seasons just all melting together in my brain at this point?
  7. WKU DO NOT READ THIS . . . . Big Red. Hello.
  8. Try taking the dog for a walk, it's a nice day out.
  9. What? My dude you are bothered by the fact that when it's time to play Rice I believe we can win. Why is this upsetting to you? I'm genuinely losing my shit trying to understand.
  10. It's SAD that I'm confident in the Mean Green's ability to win based on Rice's results this season? Do you hear yourself right now? You've completely lost your marbles.
  11. Sorry, I only focus on who they played this season, and in doing so I see they lost to teams we handily beat, soooooo?
  12. Squeaked by La Tech and lost to FAU. They have no quality wins except maybe UAB. I'm not too worried.
  13. Sorry, but if you have 10 million dollars to bet on a sports team, you're not a humanitarian. I'll leave this thread and let the usual suspects shit on me now.
  14. This is kind of how I see things turning out. Does he necessarily leave or would he use his last year as a hopeful resume builder then?
  15. Is this Littrell's last year or is he on contract through next?
  16. I think his overall record was still a little better at that time, but yes, going on the win streak and beating UTSA probably saved him his job. Chip Kelly was undefeated until yesterday, but had they not come from behind and beaten South Alabama in the last second in week 3, he would be without a job. Instead he hands on and they're #9 in the country a few weeks later. You can play the ifs and buts game all day, but as it currently stands Seth is doing just enough to hang onto his job at the moment. I'll say this though: doesn't matter what SL does the rest of the season, if he loses to FIU like this coach did it'll be enough to be let go.
  17. If I was, I would have said that. I just said the situations aren't exactly comparable. If Seth was 1-7 then I think literally everyone would be calling for his head at this point.
  18. I mean I see where you're getting at, but this is hardly comparable to Littrell's situation...
  19. Hope they see this dude.
  20. It's time for Aune and the OC to win this one.
  21. If anything you'd think that would be a 29 year old college QB's best asset.
