I don't think either of those are bad ideas, except I'd do something other than sloppy joes lol. I think with ticket giveaways you run the risk of them only taking advantage during the break, rather than pulling them in more permanently, but sometimes it's worth losing the $15 on the ticket if they bought $50 in concessions and a $25 t-shirt.
