  1. It's hilarious to see all these Cowboy fans talk down on T.O. when last I checked, one of your wideouts had the name of Keyshawn Johnson. This guy goes out and risks his career to be able to play in the Super Bowl and win a championship with his team, and you're reluctant to give him his dues. Amazing. The guy's an entertainer, he keeps people talking and possibly knocks up the ratings of any game he plays in, NFL owners love him for that, like it or not. As long as he keeps clean off the field and doesn't stab anyone, I'm cool with him.
  2. Everyone, look at my chicken!
  3. that's too bad, he had a pretty fine year last year with a running back by committee offense Arizona was using.
  4. Hey as a student I've made 2 New Orleans Bowls and the 03 ULM game! So I'll try and make tonight's game, if class gets out early. By the time class is out I may can get to the SuperPit for the last 30 seconds of the game.
  5. Seriously? I wasn't aware of that... Did you see him in American Splendor? That performance was Oscar worthy.
  6. yet another UNT alum that's hit it big in Hollywood.
  7. I don't see New England losing. Its as simple as that. They're just a better team top to bottom. Pats 34 Eagles 23
  8. So I'm doing an NIU dynasty. I just finished the regular season with a MAC championship, and a 13-0 record with a cupcake schedule. I'm #4 in the country but was still left out of the BCS bowls behind 4-loss Miami, and 3 loss somebody...I think Clemson. Also, this is the first year of a two year probation. If you made the NCAA interest on a scale from 1-10 I had a 2.5 maybe, and got a 10 scholarship a year hack. Meh. This game always screws me.
  9. Ouch. I took Montana into the Mountain West and eventually got invited into the Big 12. I rejected it however, then they got on probation. I think I didn't even win a Mountain West game the first year too. Yeah on days I'm off work but the wife isn't, I'd spend around 5 or so hours on it. Between jobs (seriously, I wasn't fired I just had a 3 week gap between leaving and starting my new one) I'd say I averaged a good 8 hours when I had 2004. I'll go a 3-4 days without playing sometimes, but when I do I get hooked and usually have a few hours on it. I can't just play one game or sim one season and be done with it.
  10. See even if I go BCS, I can never get an independent invited into a conference. I've been invited into other conferences, but never from an independent into a conference. I just quit the Maryland/Montana dynasty and started a new one with SMU. I know if there's such a thing as a hell for Mean Green fans I'll go, but I figured what the hell, they've got a nice stadium. After the 0-12 2003 season I revived them to a 6-6, 5-7, and a 8-4 bowl-less season. I forget their 2007 record, but I saved it before playing in the Hawaii Bowl against Tulane.
  11. not a waste, but its also hard if you're with a school in a small state and you have to do a lot of out-of-state recruiting. It can be 15 and 25 points sometimes if you got a kid interested but far off. I just got fired from my Maryland job after a 7-6 season and a Tire Bowl title. On to UNM!
  12. Yeah same, playing is great but its no fun if you can't accomplish anything when you win. see I'd like to do that but I never have enough points to scout. I hardly scout any of my players. When you use the recruiting points to scout you save them on discipline, but what you save on scouting you can use for discipline. So, its a catch-22. I moved to Maryland after leaving Montana to a 5-6 ACC team. My job security after one year and a 7-5 record with a bowl loss was a D. I thought that was pretty lame seeing as how they weren't eligible the year before. The 2nd year we won the Gator Bowl with a 9-4 record. Now I'm in the offseason. Anyone ever gotten fired or had their team kicked out of a conference? I brought up Rhode Island into CUSA and got kicked out after 2 years. No chance to build nothing! Kinda like Ty Willingham.
  13. Hints, Cheats, Dynasty stories, great plays, advice, whoever's got this game just chat and we can spread around some helpful info. Anyone brought a I-AA team into a Dynasty only to have their NCAA interest really high? Now maybe it was just a glitch, or maybe it was the school, but it seemed kinda unfair. I recently brought up Montana and by the 4th year the NCAA interest was nearly full, but didn't get any violations. I upped the discipline budget (like 45%) and the very next year it was nearly completely full so I got screwed. 25 less suspensions for 3 years, no bowl games or TV games for 2. Good thing my contract was up and I got an offer from maryland!
  14. i work with a David Sykes, but he's 41, so I doubt he's the same guy.
  15. I think he knows better, because like Stern, he doesn't like Clear Channel. And Clear Channel has a pretty large chunk invested into XM. That was my reasoning for automatically going to Sirius rather than XM.
  16. You said exactly what I was thinking. I agree that the black coaches don't get enough opportunities to get head coaching jobs in college and pro football, but race is not the issue with Flannigan. Heck, who even says its because of his job performance, the guy is only 30 years old.
  17. Monkey, the guy didn't try to eat your baby for goodness sakes. He didn't even pull down his pants.
  18. It was funny. I don't think he had any business doing it, but it was humourous. I mean, he didn't literally moon anyone.
  19. yeah I was a big fan of Russ but now that I have more of a choice than just 102.1 for music, I just keep my Sirius on and haven't listened to Russ Martin since.
  20. I love my Sirius Radio. Its the best thing since Cable.
  21. I dont really care about the christian and god stuff, but I understand your point of view. Although the whole outrage with the Desperate Housewife promo was a little over the top. And I do agree with the broken neck Irvin deal, Philly fans have a reputation (no matter the sport) for being a bunch of heathens. e-bone, no I'm a Seahawks fan.
  22. See that's where I have to disagree. He does things on the field that are considered out of line, and runs his mouth a lot, but I dont think he's a bad guy for doing that. Isiah Thomas runs the Pacers and he's considered one of the more dirtier players of his era. I dont think anyone would say he's a bad guy though. T.O. may have his on the field antics, but look at a lot of the NBA's star players. Even though both may have been wrongly accused, he's not getting a murder charge like Ray Lewis, or a rape charge like Kobe. Heck, I don't remember him even being in trouble with smokin the whacky tobacky.
